Tried to retrace your tread marks yesterday but took a wrong turn. It looked so simple on google maps. Ended up close to Bunker Hill. Had lunch with a beautiful view at the top of a mountain somewhere. I think where we went wrong was a tight right when the main road looked like it went to the left. It was 14N34 to the right. Looked like the entrance to a campground. Had a little water cross and a couple larger rocks right after. I took the Jeep in and had my Bride take it out. We headed out a half mile and it dawned on me that that must have been the way to Wentworth Springs. By that time it was 2 pm and being cautious in a stock JK thought it best to come back when we grow up. Also just watched your return trip to the Rubicon with your daughter. Warms my heart to see your relationship. You are an awesome Father and a very blessed man. God bless...
Nice land cruiser/great short ride/hopefully I can make it up there one day, I have a1997 Tacoma and it my first brand new vehicle ever, not even a 100,000 miles yet and it’s my little girls favorite to ride/every time it rains she’s telling me to go off road around here close to home and loves going through the mud/hardly wash it and let be/stay muddy through out the year.
YoItsMeArwyn I think you'll love it. It's easy on your truck especially if you enter from the West or i80, not from south lake Tahoe. The parts and labor on these trucks are too expensive. I like to take it easy in my classic if you know what I mean:)
@@4x2WagonFamily Where did you start at? We're brand new Jeep owners and it's hard to find a place to play when you're driving a Mall Crawler. Love your Fj!!!
thedoorguycharlie head hwy 50 East and take ice house road exit, just after Bridal falls. From the exit it’s another 35min drive to Wentworth trail head.
@@4x2WagonFamily Got it. Thank you so much. We've only been up there once going to Loon Lake to kayak and of course Uncle Tom's Cabin. It was all asphalt... Bowman Lake Rd. from Hwy 20, up and around the lake was beautiful. Then up and around Jackson Meadows Res. to Historic Henness Pass Rd. Drops you off @ hwy 89 above Truckee. The road was easy and the late lunch @ 1882 Bar and Grill was pretty good. Love the videos, please keep it up.
