Merchant is pure class. Addressed the awkwardness of the first one without trivialising it, yet remaining good humoured about it throughout.
Rich actually brings out the best and most authentic side of Steve Merchant

I still don't understand why people refer to his first show as an awkward interview. There was nothing awkward about it, it was funny. I'm assuming people think he offended Steve when he said Extras series 2 wasn't as good as the first series because it deviated too much from the first.
