As part of the ‘Ink Art & New Music’ Project last September, Prof. Chan Hing-yan showcased his work, 'Thus Flows the Watery Muse' (2009). We are delighted to share this poetic suite, presented in full, by Loo Sze-wang (sheng), Kitty Cheung (violin), KAISAN (guqin), and Shelly Ng (piano).

(Thus Flows the Watery Muse was composed between January and March 2009. The work was commissioned by Joseph Lin and was written specially for a project entitled “Chinese Musicians in Residence” held at Cornell University from 13-20 April 2009.)
