I have listened to this song repeatedly, actaully the message is very clear and strong. But the proble with it is the Title "XMASS". Iwould reccomend to my beloved brother and sisters of Pillar of Faith to find another suitable Title for this song since it isn't that late. but all in all May the blessings of our God Creator be upon you. I do pray for you beloved. All the way from TZ.
This song, especially its first stanza and the chorus is wholly taken from the book "The Desire Of Ages" chapters 2-4. The second stanza is basically application of Christian values in our daily lives. Tusome vitabu tupate maarifa.
The song is appealing and has been well-received, likely resonating with audiences across various platforms. However, as members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, we are called to reflect on all aspects of our practices, ensuring they align with our foundational beliefs and doctrines. This brings us to the choice of the title, "Christmas," and its implications in the context of our church’s teachings and principles. Could the song’s message be just as impactful if a different title were chosen? For instance, terms like "A Savior’s Gift," "The Light of the World," or "The Promise Fulfilled" could capture the essence of the message without directly invoking the term "Christmas."
