- A collaboration between myself and @Geogamer12 that actually has a really cool story behind it.
When I was a kid, my dad told me about this idea involving a void in between time and space. A fourth dimensional place seen in black mirrors, the place where all frequencies travel, where gravity exists as a tangible presense. a place that we knew not much of but dangerously used it for our every day technologies. Now, in hindsight of course he didn't say it that way he's not a conspiracy theorist, but in my young mind that's how I took it lol. I saw the Aether as a dark place, "the in between". And funnily enough, I wasn't going to be made aware of the lighthearted Aether that everyone knows and loves until I started playing minecraft years later. But even after, I continued to see the old image in my head. This project is that representation. This is how I grew up viewing the idea of The Aether, and I find it so fascinating how the 2 ideas intertwine.
Behind all of these ideas though, this was originally supposed to just be a project that I speedran before 2.2 came out. We had no idea when the release was gonna be, and got caught maybe 30% through the creation of it. But I had an amazing time working on this, and I'm so so happy that this is the first project I can confidently say I couldn't have finished this without my friend Lia. We've been trying to work out some kind of collab for years, and it is finally here. So I hope you all enjoy.

Aether Portals were made by creating a five by four frame out of Glowstone blocks and then pouring a Bucket of Water inside the frame. This activated the portal and created the blue swirls. Aether Portals were designed to look like the opposite of Nether Portals.
the aether was supposed to be the opposite of the Nether too, much like a Heaven realm

This level will definitely be one of the best levels of 2.2 with high quality, I have seen the progress in your streams and it is incredible, your best level without a doubt.

This is legendary. Probably a few camera tweaks around the wave part, and it'll be one of the great 2.2 side scroller extremes ever.

Honestly, the backstory behind this level just suits it so much, I love the decos on the level!
This is amazing wow, the song representation can be done to such a high level in 2.2 with shaders and camera movements. I do worry about the playability of levels because of this though.
You have created something completely unique. I'm a fan of your work in the gd editor. And this level immediately becomes one of the best levels in the game for me, because every serious project is a huge idea. And I love watching you create a level with an unusual concept that you took from life when you were a child. This really touches me.

Now this is an amazing level. I'm pretty sure this is the first normal 2.2 extreme demon, and it goes hard af with those transitions, the designs, the gameplay and that little stop on the last spider was out of this world. Deserves at least Legendary imo.
2.2 really adds a lot of dimensions for new difficulty. I'm terrified at what new top 1 demons might look like going forwards

I love your style so much. However, there’s a few issues I have with this level in particular. I feel that the camera rotations feel a bit static at times. Not often, but noticeable. Then there’s the shaders. They can often feel a bit blinding and a little off, especially with inverted shaders. Great level overall, but those are things that I think need drastic improvement. What I love about your levels is smoothness, and this feels a little off. You’ll only keep improving, and these are only my thoughts, but I think they still need to be expressed and noted for future projects.
