Hi everyone. I have updated the description to include a link to the original build thread for the small version which includes the plans I drew. Hoping to get back to making more videos soon.
This is what makes me want to get into r/c planes. I have been watching a lot of videos on slow flyers and have been on the fence about diving into this area of the r/c hobby. This video sealed the deal!
This is very refined & exacting. Not a place to BEGIN r/c flying. You're looking at years of skill. Expert building. Master piloting skills. Slow flying and extreme low wing loading, are not typical rc models. Good luck. Build your own. You will achieve much more of your goals.
@@ryanlemons3255 a lazy bee is far from this friend. Wing loading! Miles. . . Go foam sheet and start designing. Super light wing loading . Inexpensive. Gliders etc. A yr is a start. 👍
What an amazing little slow flyer! Love how it handles with the flaperons - incredible rolling circles and even a knife edge early in the video. Fantastic little airplane! Thanks for sharing.
This is Absolutely Brilliant !!! Every body wants to fly fast, but it is so much fun to slow down and fly at the other ends of the limits. Is there a build video ?
Seems pretty simple to do, to me! Looks like you could do a very similar thing out of foam board, and tissue/wax paper. Wax paper will be somewhat heavier. Very small motor requirements, and flaperons. And the wheels look 3d printed. Could shave weight and make them thinner, sand them down, use wire or balsa discs, etc
Honestly guys I just used the plans from the flight test simple cub and build my own version of this by cutting the lightinings holes into the skeleton form as shown on video lol pp lol easy to do and covering I just used light weight transparent red and blue ultrakote the wrap that sticks and shrinks tighter with use of heat and it looks exactly like this plane shape wise
Very nice little airplane .. well done! And such nice and fun flying of it 😄👍 Inspires me to go back and try out ultra light micro cub-like flying again. Just for some backyard fun once in a while.
Absolutely awesome plane! I do more high performance stuff these days but this reminds me of when I used to fly indoor 3d planes. Amazing build and incredible performance, this plane is the embodiment of everything a slowflyer/3d plane should be!
Been having a blast with your design man, have built a 15.7' or whatever the sock one was and a sized up 27" with turbo timber evo linkage and guts, a fatty high lift custom airfoil and reinforced all with 1mm carbon fiber rod. maxed out flaps to 90 degrees and stol is nearly vtol. Thanks again man! more plans please!!!
I've been doing 1/2 scale powered gliders. This looks really fun. I have the Herr Cloud Ranger plans Im thinking do a foam version similar to your glass cub. The Slow flying is amazing. stay safe and happy flying!
www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?1746834-SkeleCub-Plans-and-or-maybe-Kit You will need to double the size of the plans to get the size in the video.
That was some amazing flying skills! I'm going to try and build one of these. Hope it will fly as good as yours. Although I know my skills at flying are nowhere near your skills. I'm hoping this plane is very light and therefore forgiving.
What was the crossbreeze? Have been trying to get my ft cub to fly in small area but requires twice the area desired to get in the air. Love to know your setup!
Hello, clip owner. This machine looks very beautiful, clean and heartfelt. I would like to ask you, what exactly is the wingspan? I have downloaded a pdf file on the forum that discusses this airplane, but I don't know the length of the wings and various fuselage parts. Please tell me. Thank you very much.🙏🙏🙏
Show, show, show!!! Your project is very cool. Where are you from?? Where did you publish the construction of this work of art?? Congratulations!! Hug.👋👋👋👋
how the 3mm depron can be so strong ? is it as easy to make the skeleton of 3mm foam and cover it with thing plastic cover? Can you please some additional guidance? thanks
I have to say amazing build, very clever. I have been inspired to build and cut one myself so thanks for the dxf. i have all of the parts on order but have a couple of questions that i am hoping you can help me with. First is what size carbon rod did you use? Is it the same through out the whole plane? Also the construction of the under carriage, some detail of attachment and rubber band suspension, are the Funny cub wheels EPP, as i will have to make a set? Cheers and many thanks fro Aus.
Hello, I enjoyed the video. I also want to make a low-speed airplane. What aircraft did you use? I'm curious about the motor specs and how the reporter used it.
Really interesting and a must do build. Too you are a very skilled pilot! Thanks again for post the video and offering help in building one. How do I get in touch outside TH-cam?
I just love seeing and flying super slow and light weight planes. Amazing job, this is the best plane i have ever seen. Would you give a list of electronics maybe? And how log can you normally fly? (if you aren't doing a bunch of tricks :)
Hi, I updated the description with a link to the original build thread that has plans for the smaller one there. The smaller one is probably a more approachable build, with easier to source electronics. The big and little one both fly around 6-8 minutes
Working on the 3D model (fusion 360) right now, I have the foamboard, carbon, plastic, adhesives, receivers, batteries, and the servos are on the way! So far so good...
Hi Adam, I noticed your ailerons are both going the same direction. Do you have them setup in your radio as flaps? Also, curious as to what size prop you're using. Thanks!
@@budblues yes, they are setup as flaperons in the radio. Also I'm running a bunch of differential, so they deflect more up than down for roll. I think the prop is a 9x3
would you share the electronics you bought for this build please on this page? i am pretty sure i can do the build fine i just have no clue about the power package needed for a plane this light or small. hope you do it is a awesome plane and you have great flying ability to match! great job please share with us!!
Realmente maravilloso. Felicitaciones. También me gustan los modelos grandes, lentos y livianos y es por eso que hago alas volantes; en especial porque aquí no tenemos estos materiales.

Today I've found your post and project. Love it... taking notes to build it. Greetings from Costa Rica PURA VIDA!
It looks like a lot of fun, thanks for posting the build notes (:

Are you building too!
Now THIS is right up our alley. Great stuff. Fly 'em light!
I love this. It perfectly fits the joy of rc flight. No worries, noise, potential harm to anything or anyone. Cheep and cheerful! Bravo builder.
Could not have said it better!
I LOVE how well lightweight models fly, but this is next level! Magnificent!
Just beginner looking for starter planes and this combination plane + flying skills are real joy to watch. I am really intrigued to build one.
probably the best build and flying skills i've seen on the choob. inspiring

Here I am completely focussed on gliders, and suddenly I get a lovely micro like this in my recommended.. Love it!
This is a slow flight video. The most wonderful thing I've ever seen.
That is a fun plane! Must. Have. Plans.

Just came across this video. What a gem of a plane, really love it.
That's amazing ! Are you going to share the plans ? I would really like to build one
Hi, where can I get the plane for this slow flyer, its amzing
Agreed, this looks like a must build! Please add plans!

Bravo et merci. Le pilotage comme j'aime en vol lent, c'est magnifique et tellement plus proche du vol d'un vrai avion. 👍✌

Outstanding build & flying!!!!!!!! Guess that its wing loading must be extremely low....maybe less than 2 oz/sq.ft ..?!?!?!?! Very well done!
excellent. what material is used for the skeleton and the skin? and from where do u get that. what's that material exactly named
Did u applied 2° angle motor mount or just straight
