Case in point: the moment between Sonny & Brenda is so effective because Sonny just KNEW by looking at Brenda that she was thinking of Stone and the fact that she has seen this scene before. She didn't have to say it. He knew and we knew what she was thinking as she looked at Robin fussing over Jason in a hospital bed. Nuance. A beautiful thing when writers don't treat the audience like idiots. If Stone had to die, getting Sonny, Robin and Jason was a wonderful consolation present. But I hate Sonny & Jason to death now! lol
In a weird way, he was doing it because he loved Robin. He knew she wasn't ready to have sex given her diagnosis, so he got it somewhere else so he wouldn't pressure her. At this point, Carly didn't mean anything more to him than means to remain a loving respectful boyfriend to Robin. And that's the real reason why Carly hated Robin so much for all of those years.
I think a lot of viewers don’t remember that Jason once realizing his sexual relationship with Carly was wrong, he promised that he never would sleep with her again and to this day, he hasn’t.
I don’t understand Carly & Jason…he is so mean to her in all the scenes I see early on except when the first played pool and it led to sex. Then she was always taunting him about Robin…great base of a friendship my ass…
