Walleyes are great especially against AA. You don't have to lock on to a vehicle and the walleye has no propulsion so it doesn't leave a streak of smoke. The enemy will have no idea what hit them.
Having no propulsion system also means they are slow, but then again that leaves more space for explosives.
So far I am really enjoying the walleyes. They cost 200 less sp to spawn in and still track ground targets. That makes them really easy to spawn with. It’s like a Maverick with the explosive power of a 500 pound bomb. If the walleye hits it has a much better chance of killing its target, or getting a multi kill.
Oh and thank the snail for the change in the air spawn location. It’s now out of SPAA range. I no longer have to hit the deck and fly away and then climb. You can just start side climbing as soon as you spawn.
The best thing in this update is moving the spawn locations back.

How do you *never* get AA spawning on the enemy team and shooting at you in any of the CAS videos you ever upload (seems like)?
Could you make a video on tactics to survive enemy AA during CAS?
Walleyes are awesome by the way - I've got it in the same lineup as my bullpup-armed H-34 lol it's so satisfying
I definitely get shot down my friend, but I try to increase my survivability rate by playing safely and patiently.
@@Hunter_i86 that’s why I like the lower BR where all you gotta deal with is SPAAGs, but SAMs scare me lol - stand-off weapons like Walleyes and Mavericks make fixed-wing aircraft fun for me again at top tier
That's because it wouldn't be an entertaining video if he got clapped by AA in first 30 seconds.
As for surviving high tier AA it's really simple in theory. You clap them while they're focusing on something else or climb above the radar (around 7km against SAMs) and dive down on them, most of the AA players will sit in spawn anyway. At high altitude RWR and eyeball mk1 should give you enough warning to dodge the missile.
@@StephaneColibri Those two weapons make CAS at top-tier even possible again. Without them you just get killed well before you can drop bombs.
What I do is turn around the moment I spawn and gain altitude. And be patient with my targets I try to prioritize any tanks that are camping our spawns and AA.
How do you get your sight for the walleye to stay stable?

@@smithbennington4569 the tv camera is supposed to move fluid and normally. But if you point up it goes up and doesn't stop going up and if you point down it goes up. It moves very erratically

A shame it’s not the new laser sight display from the Jaguar this sight has never worked for me on console it just freaks out regardless of what settings i use.
I'm reading a lot of complain about console sight control, let us hope these voices will reach Gaijin.

I don't understand, how do you use them so well? Every time me and my friends try to use them the camera is extremely delayed in its movement and also decides to move on its own for no reason

Why can’t mig 27 bomb track targets?
I guess Russians made it to hit static targets like bridges and factories.
@@Hunter_i86 actually never mind I found out in game that the kab500’s do track targets but nobody is talking about it and it wasn’t in the patch notes. There is no indication for them locking either so it’s kinda weird. It’s also nice that the kh 29t’s track since they have so much explosive filler and they’re pretty maneuverable.

so basiclly they converted the early model into the production model
early model = production model
the difference between A-4E early and A-4E late is the navigation computer, apart from that both models can carry any weapon the A-4 could carry

thats because the Israeli A-4 actually is not the A-4E but the A-4H, and these are upgraded A-4F models
the F model had sidewinder launchers on the outer most pylons as well, unlike the E model.

I can't wait to get the M901 so I can reliably use the A-4E in ground, I'm very short staffed but earlier today I was able to get into an A-4 using the M41A1 and got my 1st ground Ace in a jet using the walleyes and 1000lb bombs with CCRP

You played well with the Jaguar and were in a battle with me today on the opposing team (Ground RB). I also wrote something in the chat
These bombs are absolutely incredible, incredibly deadly.
Walleyes are so satisfying to use. My first time using them I got a double kill and it was awesome.
Using the bomb view and watching the walleyes sail down towards some unsuspecting tanker down below is awesome.
Did the a4e early get em too? I haven't played US ground rb or air so i have no clue

they're nice when they aren't buggy. soon as i come out of the tv view they automatically drop.
I still think pure effectiveness wise, 5xbulpup is the go to loadout. Much higher kill/min. But these are much more satisfying

Did the same on top tier yesterday: two flakbuses and one flaktruck in one game. Double bus + truck kill at first attack, then another bus took me but got hit after my death.
Keep killing the radar monsters, no mercy.

i dont understand the BR of jets... some are trash an have high br and others can potential kill 8 tanks and are at 8.7 with high speed, good canon, TV Bombs, bombs and good speed :S

Good video! How is your bomb camera stable when using the TV guided bombs? Mine moves all over the place when I try.
It is now stabilized by default, both Walleye and Maverick, also decreasing sensitivity in common controls will help you to control the sight better.

Custom sights are available only for PC players, you can find them War Thunder Live website, this is the Bradley sight for example. live.warthunder.com/post/913542/en/

Yes, but you need to be at closer distances. Both Walleye and Maverick are now lock on ground as well, so you need to make sure that the lock is on target not on the ground before pressing the launch button.
