Would you recommend using 7T to get rid of brassy red tones on a brunette balayage . Just trying to get a nice cool light brown refreshing tone to get rid of warm tones

    I love shades EQ!!!
I have virgin hair with a lot of white grey and a lot of my natural hair color, my natural hair color is a dark ash blonde with some flecks of red. I don’t want to cover up my white grey that’s why I want to use shades EQ, so my question is what color would look best on me?
I want a prettier color than my natural hair color. I have pink under tones and I’m fair skinned and pink. I have three colors in my eyes light brown In the middle then hazel green and a thick grey blue around the outside of my eyes. So should I get a warm color of shades EQ, or a cool color of shades EQ? I wanted to go one shade darker than my natural hair color and use my white grey for highlights.

Ok, so what about us brunettes with no highlights. Just straight up brunettes. I like to color my hair (got a few grays kicking) but it a.l.w.a.y.s. pulls red. I'm thinking about switching to Shades EQ and am cool with the idea of just a demi color on my grays. Is there a Shades EQ that won't pull red on my brunette roots?

    • @sheridoss1546
      @sheridoss1546 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

HI!! GREAT question!!! The brilliance of SEQ is that it is a Demi permanent...meaning that the peroxide is less than 10 volume and not enough to alter the natural hair, therefore will not expose undertones (pull red). If using for gray coverage, apply, cover with a plastic cap and sit under a pre-heated dryer for 15 min and let cool for 20 min with the cap off. xo

Hello, after I bleached my hair, I put on a blond irisee ash color and my hair looks a bit greenish now. It's probably due to the ash. How do I neutralize the green, without becoming too warm (I know red neutralizes green), since I don't like warm tones, but I would really like to get rid of the green/grey tone I have right now. I also don't want to darken the hair. What would you suggest? Thank you.

Hi Nicole! Because of SEQ acidic formula combined with a low volume developer, you will not achieve any lift. For lift you may want to look to Color Gels Or another permanent color. If you have previously colored hair, you will need to use a decolorizer/ bleach

If I wanted to color my level 1 with permanent color and level 2 and 3 with gloss, can I do this at the same time with each product possibly touching. @@wendy8561 I always go back to the color wheel. So if you're working with PALE YELLOW (lvl 10) ends, you are going to get green by using 10p (pearl) or 10t (titanium). The pearls have a blue/violet tone with a black to grey base, so they are heavier on blue than violet (black/grey already have blue in them). You can dilute that blue in the 10p by adding 10vv (violet/violet) to it. If your ends really are a lvl 10, keep an eye out for 10vv next time you're shopping at your salon supplier.
If your ends are YELLOW (lvl 9) use 9n (natural). You can use 1oz 9n + 1oz clear to get it to lvl 10 as well. The natural range has a blue/violet tone with a brown to tan base, so you won't have as much blue as, say, the pearls, which have that black to grey base. It will be more natural blonde and still help a bit with the yellow undertone.
If your ends are pale yellow/lvl 10 and you don't mind something more golden than the natural, I would also give the 10gi (gold/irridescent) a try, as it is a gold/violet tone with a brown to tan base. It is gold, but on the cooler end, instead of on the warmer end closer to copper.
Just an FYI, if you end up getting 10vv in the future, that is a violet/violet tone with no base color.
If you aren't toning your roots with that 7na, make sure you at least get some clear on there to blend up the color on your ends so everything's nice and shiny. If you are toning your roots, you can also use clear with that 7na to sheer it out through the middle as it gets closer to where you have the solution on your ends so you don't have a line.
      Remember,
-Yellow/pale yellow (lvl 9/10) undertones get neutralized with violet tones
-Yellow/orange (lvl 8) undertones get neutralized with blue/violet tones.
-Orange (lvl 7) undertones get neutralized with blue tones.
The 10t (titanium: silver/blue tones) and 10p (pearl: blue/violet tones) are great for when your undertone is already pulled away from pale yellow and is closer to white/grey (neutralized using 10vv, for example, or if it's lightened to a lvl 11).
Apologies if that was confusing at all. If something needs clarification, just let me know!

@@wendy8561 if the 10 isn't depositing, here are your options with 9n (you can reduce it if you don't need that much dye, just keep the ratio the same):
2oz 9n to 2oz processing solution (true to level 9. You're putting pigment on top of your undertone which has no pigment and shows up as yellow, which will make it look darker to you, but it is a level 8.75 to 9)
1 ¾ oz 9n + ¼ oz clear to 2oz processing solution (level 9 with less color deposit, so what you're probably looking for. You can also try 1 ½ oz 9n + ½ oz clear if you feel that ratio will still be too dark on top of what you have, that would be about a level 9.5)
      1oz 9n + 1oz clear to 2 oz processing solution (true to level 10)
¾ oz 9n + 1 ¼ oz clear to 2oz processing solution (level 10 with less color deposit. You can also try ½ oz 9n + 1 ½ oz clear if you feel that ratio will still be too dark on top of what you have, that would be about a level 10.5)
Keep in mind, the color deposits on top of what's there. If you have freshly bleached hair, there is no pigment. Less color + more clear = less color deposit = less yellow correction. More color + less clear = more color deposit = more yellow correction.
Process for 20 minutes on dry hair, at room temp (no heat or cap). The color will last for about 4 weeks of daily washes, but will fade gradually throughout those 4 weeks. The pigment from the dye will release from your hair as you continue to wash it.
