The "What's Cooking" episode with Christopher Reeve and Meatloaf will always be one of my favorite episodes of TV.

@@christianhiser8914 I'm assuming that also has to do with some rights issues. They might share rights with one or more companies and think it's too much of a hassle to figure out to calculate the profits of a singular show on a streaming platform.

People Who Live In Brass Hearses is one of my favorites. Bill Paxton and Brad Dourif are perfect together, with plenty of laughs and carnage throughout the episode. We can't forget the end twist that is one of the best in Crypt history. As for the movies, I liked Bordello as a teen. It never stuck with me though. Demon Knight is far superior in every way.

Abra Cadaver. This episode creeped me out when I first saw it because its actually one of my childhood fears.

Abra cadaver always got me and so did the one with Jon Lovitz when he thinks he’s auditioning for Shakespeare but it ends up being the patients took over the asylum and skinned him to use his head for Yorick. The final scene is just chilling to me. Great vid though.

According to the Scream Factory DVD for Bordello of Blood, Bordello was made instead of Dead Easy as there was concerns about the latter's budget, script, and subject matter plus internal studio politics. Dead Easy was in pre-production when it was cancelled, with the casting not done but scouting locations were sought. Then, Bordello was rushed into production instead of Dead Easy. You should reach out to Gil Adler and AL Katz as they might have that script and give you more details.
Ritual apparently was only slapped with Tales from the Crypt to enhance its marking appeal, and hilariously wasn't released in the USA until 2006-2007 (5-6 years after its initial overseas release).

Fun fact* the Crypt Keepers blue eyes are the SAME eyes as Chuckys in the original child's play. no wonder I love both of them haha. pretty cool how they tie together that way (as a horror fan I love facts like that) 🖤🖤💀👻💀👻👍👍👍☠️☠️🤗🤗👌🌟👌

I read master degree scientific paper of sociology on "From dusk till Dawn" where it bee thesis that this movie is about American stereotype how Americans sees Mexico, a lot of fun where drugs and babes are not just legal, but are promoted by super corrupt police, but also arguing that tity bars are Booby traps :) What is funny, pan-demonic bar name is "Titty Twister" with logarithmic spirals.
    That is science thesis :)

What a nostalgia atom bomb! I used to watch these religiously every week on HBO. I was 13 when the premiere aired and Luckily my parents weren't prudes, so as long as something wasn't porn they let us kids watch nearly anything we wanted. No helicopter parenting when I was a kid! I watched them by myself that summer because my older brother had just turned 18 and moved in with friends and my step brother went to live with his mom in Michigan for the summer, while my little brother was made to go to sleep at 9 because he was only 7 years old. I would pop popcorn and turn out all the lights. Well I actually did watch them with someone. Our dog Sugar! I love your content and I wish we had been friends back then because then I would have had a buddy to share the scares with in that amazing show!

I was fifteen and decided to take my girlfriend to the movies. We both loved horror (plus it sometimes can force closeness, ya' know) so I picked the new Tales from the Crypt movie, Bordello of Blood. Now keep in mind that I'm barely in high school at this point. I had never heard the word "bordello" before so I had no clue what it meant. Needless to say it wasn't one of my more proud moments. We're still married all these years later so it worked out... although whenever Tales from the Crypt comes up she's always very quick to remind me of my formerly-lacking vocabulary.

I've loved Tales from the crypt ever since I was a kid. It's probably my favorite show of the 90's alongside The X-Files. I just wish they would release a HD set for the show! Seriously, there's no reason not to. This show needs a Badass 4k set from Scream Factory!! As far as my favorite episodes.. People Who Live in Brass Hearses(Brad Dourif/Bill Paxton as brothers, I'm sold), Oil's well that ends well, Came the Dawn, Television Terror, Only skin Deep(Cool Halloween episode), Split Second, House of Horror, Undertaking Palor(kids trying to make a horror movie), there are too many to name. I love them all!!

I hope no 'Tales from the crypt' revival happens till all this horrible woke bullshit is dead and buried, because otherwise they would just ruin it.

I used to watch this show on SYFY and the now defunct Chiller Network.

Three’s a Crowd messed me up. That one still gets me even today.

@GamebroTV it sure is. It’s funny. I went and rewatched the first 4 seasons of Tales a couple years ago just to see if they still held up. And for the most part, they do. But Three’s a Crowd is the only one that still made me feel like it did when I first watched it. Truly disturbing.

@GamebroTV I’ll check season 5 out. I only went through season 4 because those were the ones I saw on the original run. For one reason or another I stopped after that season. I’ll check that one out though.

Tales from the Crypt was sorta groundbreaking in a way when it comes to Demon Knight.
It was the first mainstream horror movie I recall to 1) Have two black female protagonists in Jeryline (Jada Pinkett-Smith) & Irene (C.C.H Pounder) & 2) Jeryline SURVIVES the entire ordeal to become the new heroine & keeper of the key.
Even though Jada was a big name at the time, I totally thought her character would be killed off. Demon Knight is a great film which I've always felt deserved a sequel

The Salesmanship episode reminds me a lot of RE7, tbh. Thing From The Grave felt like a love letter to zombie based horror. On the other hand, this series aside from Bayonetta 2 and Metal Gear Rising Revengeance showcased the roles I recognize from John Kassir. His career lasted since!
