The way Sotus's popularity made other producers etc hop on the engineering trend, i wish and hope that ITSAY opens the eyes of Thai entertainment companies to the need to tell important stories, have a plot beyond putting two pretty guys together to earn money and disregard the intelligence of their audience. ITSAY is seriously a cultural reset

Words will never fully describe how much I adore everything about I Told Sunset About You. This five-episode short series was an experience that enveloped me with warm hands. It felt like a dream. It was magical. People have always wished for the ability to totally forget a book, a film, or a story so they could consume it again for the first time, back from the start. I guess I understand them now because that is what I want to have for this series. I want to stay in a loop inside its tiny universe.

This is the stories that taught us love. It aint about two good looking guy, it aint about fan service, it aint about unrealistic romantic drama. This is a total masterpiece that taught us love has no boundaries, acceptance to ourself, beautiful friendship, family love, and to always believe in your heart. The trailer looks so good. This is totally different from other school BL dramas. The locations and cinematography is what attracted me first. I'm honestly so excited to watch this. I hope we'll have subs as well

If I were to rate all the bl series that I've watched, and I watched a lot of them already (like I think most of them tbh) nothing can knock this series off the top spot. This series is just way too perfect, with the story, acting and the music. Just pure perfection.
True, i watched many Thai, taiwanese, japanese, korean bls etc but none of them would ever top ITSAY AND IPYTM. Generally, Taiwanese Bls have the best overall acting and plots and scenes but ITSAY is the best bl ever created imo!

I’ve rewatched the serie twice and maybe more. I don’t usually watch BL althouht i know some popular couples like OffGun, BrightWin... but this serie is a MUST watch. Everything is on point, characters, action, soundtrack, color in film... I’m deeply in love with the looks of 2 main characters and their chemistry, they were so good. I got goosebumps when they teased each other on the beach, i was shocked when Teh was addicted to coconut’s flavor and i cried when Teh refused Aew and he came back home asking his parents if they were proud of him. I even forgot to breathe at some scenes. I can literally talk about this serie all day, but you guys should watch it and come back here so we can talk about it haha. This is not just a simple BL serie, its more than that, its like a LGBT serie. Its full of art, i swear
YES! ive rewatched this several times too! instead of being happy when TehOh were all sweet and cute i feel sad. especially for Teh. he was soo happy he got into the uni he dream of but then it reminds me of the ending.. its a happy ending but still i feel soo sad for Teh.. the fact that he gave his dream for his loved one.. omg I can't fathom that and it doesn't even turn out the way he expected and he got to go through such despair to barely claimed his future back.. lots of people say he is selfish but i think he is the most selfless. his decision r mostly influenced by the others and not himself, his family, mom, Oh, Tarn, his friends.. 😭

It's been more than two years and no other story will ever make me feel like this coming of age drama. It makes me feel nostalgic for a place I've never been, a teenage love i never had, a life i never lived. Just came back to my fav trailer of all times after watching IPYTM ‘S trailer. Man the OST that this had is lacking in the new season’s trailer. How can a show be this perfect??? Tell me?? I literally don't have words to describe how i felt while watching it and how it will be engraved in my heart and mind all my life. It reached so deep. The director, writer, actors everyone did their best and made this series the finest of all. Only a couple of shows has the capability to reach the heart and remain engraved in your mind throughout your life. It is one of those shows. & don't even start me on the leading character Teh, he is a natural, very fine actor. He is literally something else ❤

I told sunset about you is a cultural reset to thai bls or bls in general. it's so beautiful with one of the most beautiful plots to it ever. it's something the audience we just don't watch it for the good looking guys but we feel everything those guys go through. i literally was in a rollercoaster ride all throughout just 5 episodes what sometimes 16 episodes fail to do.

The cinematography was amazing. I really love the cinematic view of Phuket whether natural or man-made. I mean from the beautiful beaches up to the stunning streets. Ahhhh so good! Gives me that Chinese-Thai historic influence kinda vibe.

I love the way this series has everything. An epitome of slowburn mutual pining childhood best friends to enemies to lovers trope with emotinal hurt/comfort, In the way that netflix wish they had this series amd could NEVER.
This series is at cinematography standard. Story, acting, music, details, etc. are so good. I would like to thank director, caramen, writers, actors, actresses and all staffs for their hard-working and efforts. For me, this is the best BL film ever. It’s hard to have another series beyond this high mountain. For who hasn’t seen this series, I believe it wouldn’t make you disappointed. I love how Nadao always hides the easter eggs all the time, for example like a hibiscus flowers.The southern region is the region with the most hibiscus flowers in Thailand and the scriptwriter chose to put it in the series. Hibiscus flowers,In the past of Thai tradition, an executioners would put hibiscus flowers on the ears of executed prisoners or it has meanings to curse the adulterous harlot for breaking the custom. It's like the love of Tae and Oh Aew that is wrong with Chinese family tradition.But the good meaning is the love of the young, puberty clue and courtship.
It also represents oh and tarn because just like the two characters, hibiscus both have male and female reproductive system that is why P’boss chose it. Violet for tarn and red for oh-aew. You can see the hidden meaning of the hibiscus in ep 3 and how Teh choose from the two colors of that flower.
For everyone that still in doubt whether to watch this or not, I say it to you, the trailer is already great but the series itself is 300times greater. YOU HAVE TO WATCH THIS!!!
ITSAY and IPYTM are the only BL series I've watched that have REASONABLE skinships. No unnecessary kisses or bed scenes, everything have a full impact on the plot and character development. Every time I finish another BL, it always makes me want to rewatch this series. They are still at the top of my list!

Check out I Feel You Linger in The Air. It’s a new BL drama but is already making it to the top a lot of fans lists. It’s a totally different genre from ITSAY but definitely rivals ITSAY when it comes to production, cinematography, soundtrack and acting. Nonkul who is the lead for IFYLITA started out as a Nadao actor as well. Oh, and to your point , no unnecessary losses or bed scenes.

i just wish this show had more international recognition, it's so ridiculously good... it ended weeks ago and i still can't stop thinking about it
One of the best BL of 2020, hands down! The writing was superb, the attention to detail and the different layers of meaning were carefully laid out. I could feel the respect of the creators towards the audience, as nothing was rushed, and even the product placements were so subtle the products were integral to the story. Every scene, framing and blocking were well crafted. The acting was phenomenal; both leads were charismatic as they tenderly portrayed the intricacies of their characters.
The cinematography reinforced the narrative. The soundtrack? Addicting! This is definitely a benchmark in Thai BL's. A tour de force, without exaggeration. Ugh. Give me more :(
