IZotope just makes the Better plugins in the market. Neutron and IZotope are full of tools. Some people don't likes It for the AI applications. But apart from that, all the tools are just perfect in every producing step.
Transient shapers can be better than a compressor. If you want to get more LUFS out of your mix, take some attack out of the drums. Ive gained +16 LUFS before just by doing that alone.
@daniel irvine not sure I follow, I haven't heard the term transparent clipping in audio, but I have in photo editing. Maybe it's also called something else?
@@diggadiggadj that is the only term I know for it as it basically says what it's on the tin. Essentially its making the audio clip deliberately but unable to be heard. Great for transient sounds. since its so quick, a human ear can't detect it (unless you take it too far) so you gain more headroom by removing the sound we cant hear but computers can.
@daniel irvine ah OK so sorta like how lossy compression works or maybe dithering? Would that be something you apply to the mixing or mastering stage, or both?
yeah that's one way to look a It. It's used in both stages, one to contain and the other to get as much loudness as possible. Master engineers like to use transparent clipping in tandem with limiters.
I did not hear any Major difference on some of the examples. One being the Bass at Timestamp 5:55..Only a tiny, tiny Volume increas.... Thx ElectricEddie
What a beautiful, well crafted, gorgeous, precious, divine, amazing, astonishing... tutorial. All the content in the screen is just perfect. I'd marry this tutorial for sure!
Thanks so much for having me on this video! 🥰
Best explanation of transients and demonstration of transient shapers that I've heard. We'll done - Thanks!
Appreciate you 🙏🏻
I like how you are able to explain in a plain and simple way to make it easy to understand.
So glad it was helpful!
Thank you for using it on various instruments. I'm thinking this would work great on acoustic hi-hat and cymbals.
This was super helpful, thank you!
So glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the content ! I will be less shyer with my transient shaper and test some new tricks on my tracks
Thank you for watching!
great to see here dianna!
Thank you :)
Shape your transients with powerful tools like Neutron: www.izotope.com/en/products/neutron.html
How can I trust you not to discontinue it?
Gratitude! major sauce right here!!!
I like the idea of using it on keys, it sounds like a great example in this video! :)
Thumbs up for the green stuffy in the background
I don't mix, but master, and Neutron helps add that little kick when I want it.

Very, Very helpful will be using it alot more than compresser.
Thanks so much!
loved the explanation!
Great explanation thank you
Random unrelated question: can you enable captions on videos like this? 🙏🏾😊
thnks De Ana
Would have been nice to speak on tweaked transients and issues with limiters. They will definitely mess with your limiter if it's already set.
she made me upgrade
well done
Great 👍

Combine it with transparent clipping and Ur set
