If you complete the battle memory, you can put HARD MODE as your name and it bumps up the difficulty. It tells you this at the end of the game (the part after the dragon wakes up)

I don't know how often you do this in the video, but it looks like in the second Pork Trooper fight, you are using PK Love when you would be doing more damage with combos.

@@isaiahdeluxe17 you can start this either way, but only on the fanmade versions of Mother 3, not the official japanese one

I tried to do this but I accidentally spelled HARD MODE without a Space so I didn't do hard mode until Chapter 4
