One suggestion for your camping area is a dog wash, I'm a campsite warden and we've got one onsite which really goes down well with our customers...might be handy for Maggie too. Loving the progress, you both deserve a pat on the back!

A dog wash was a game-changer for my sister when it was installed at a campsite they visit several times a year. So much easier!

What a great idea
Some years ago my wife and I stayed at a holiday home in Keswick. Just across the road was quite a large hotel that had extensive grounds at the back which were bordered by a river. Rather than continually mowing the whole area they mowed pathways through the area with seats scattered around. This created a lovely area where guests could roam and picnic and at the same time left large areas of uncut grass for the wildlife. Just an idea I thought you might like to consider seeing how the mower you had easily created paths wide enough to walk along.

Our plan is to leave it as wild as we can for the bees and wild life and mow paths in and visually it looks beautiful and also feels like you are in a little oasis too, we just had to cut it all for the upcoming draining 🥰 we will definitely be taking your advice 👌
I thought that too. When he first started mowing I thought how beautiful it would be to walk down paths like that.
Well done on your progress! A suggestion for the guest bathroom is a bench to sit on after showing, as one neds somewhere to put your stuff so that it doesn't get wet or dirty from the floor.

a handy tip for growing heavier squash/gourds/veg on a trellis, my mother uses old mesh onion bags cable tied to the trellis and puts the fruits in them while still relatively small so the weight is on the bag/trellis, not on the stems of the plant. it allows the fruits to get much larger without worrying about wind or the weight of the fruit taking them off the vines before fully ripening.

It was a bit slow take a look at Americas landscaping channels that do neighbour' hood yards free to overgrown gardens awesome rideon mowers even mulch shrubs and branches they must be here somewhere in the uk loved the shower block

Regarding the shower rooms maybe think of moving the Wc away from the cubicle and basin next to the cubicle. One reason is the loo roll will then be able to hang on the Wall to the right of the WC also its more hygienic regarding “splashing” from the pan not going all over the glass in the cubicle. I’m a plumber by trade and I’ve been doing bathroom for nearly 20 years. Reach out if you need help I have a VW crafter so I can be self sufficient whilst giving you guys a hand. X

Cannot tell you how many hours I have spent researching, thinking and overthinking about the "best" trellis for gourds. You have reminded me that simple is sometimes best. May need to think on that -lol
I work so differently to Jon, I impulsively decide to do something with little planning and just figure it out as I go but Jon will like you, spend weeks researching every option. I would think if Jon did the trellis it would be so much neater and better engineered than me simply working on impulse 😅 but it does the job 🥰
I've never seen such an odd method of sealing windows and doors, but maybe that's just because I'm an American. All is coming along nicely!
Honestly, it was completely alien to us too. It was just the best way we could find to ensure it was waterproof 👌

I've seen this method used before in the US.
Mostly in Arizona.
I advise being very careful with that butyl tape that's like human fly paper.
I think you're doing a bang-up job.
For future window installations. When using the wedges to hold them square to the frame, orient them so that the mounting screw goes through them. This way, they can't shift at any time.
It’s all looking amazing, have you considered maybe using a shipping container for you guest bathroom/laundry? The render looks pretty close to the size of a 20 footer and then you can clad and fit out the interior as you want. 😊

This is INCREDIBLE. Is there anything you both cannot do? I feel excited seeing your dream coming to life. Fitting a window, perfectly with such attention to detail, thats something you will be satisfied with everytime you open or close those windows, knowing its your own hard work that makes it operate so perfectly. i know id be ecstatically excited with that everytime!
If you're considering going solar in the future I would advise keeping your inverter and batteries exterior to the home.
I only say this because the inverter and the charger create a lot of heat when they're working.

Would be great to have a washing up area, food prep area, with large fridge freezer for guests to use. Great in summer for cold drinks, ice, fresh food etc. Chalkboard so people can leave comm3nts about their stay.
Great idea. Each glamping guest will have their own kitchen/prep area by their tent ☺️ and we think we will have some outdoor sinks under a canopy, to the right side of the shower/toilet block 👌

I absolutely love how the garden is coming along. IT is so satisfying to pick and eat what you have frown. Re using cable ties, because they are single use plastic I thought I would say that my husband uses soft wire to tie up this sort of thing in the garden and they can be reused many times.

The partition between the WC-seat and shower looks lovely, but with all the panes, cleaning will be difficult and time consuming even if the dividers are fake. Maybe just a few vertical panes? If the water is at all hard, lots of minerals, showering will leave marks to the partition. We are wiping our glass partition after every shower with a window wiper, it's quickly done (if there are not a lot of panes =) and the glass stays clean.

I found the window sealing method fascinating and may you never have a leak.
The cabin is looking great, I love how much love you're putting into it, not one corner has been cut or job made easier for convenience, keep it up and you'll have something spectacular 😁 I built a shoffice (shed/office) and I definitely can't say as much love was put in, but it still stands so I must have cut the right corners 😅😅
The tiny house is coming along beautifully, having the windows in feels like closer to a home now...❤ the Guest bathhouse, private yet so convenient..

That shot where John was using the flail mower he created a wonderful path through the meadow. I was like 'no please stop there!' it looked like a nice pathway through your land amongst the wildlife. I understand you need to control it but wanted to just say you have a lovely plot of land there.

One suggestion for your campsite is please offer at least one genuine super king bed and a decent mattress. We have premier inn mattresses. I don’t really understand why no one is offering this kind of setup and it would be a usp. Love the content

I love that you are using fivrr (I used them to design a logo some years ago). Also delighted that you are asking for suggestions for what makes a bathroom space useable/comfortable. I'm always looking for counter space to hold things and towel bars - so many places have pedestal sinks and a single towel hook. Enjoying the channel!

I'm quite sure there isn't a professional builder anywhere who could match your meticulous and well-planned approach to building a house. It's wonderful to watch you get it right every step of the way. (I, too, had a GSP. Smartest dog I've ever had...and unmatched when it came to the amount of trouble she could get into.)

One thing i would say about the plans for the guest shower block , it appears there is not much room between the toilet , the shower and the sink , it might be a squeeze for some and you dont want the dhower screen breaking when someone sits down lol .
Thanks for the suggestion. We messaged out the space in Jon's parents house with all 4 of us being different shapes and sizes 🤣 to get a better idea. I think on the digital mock ups, the furniture isn't to true scale, so I think it looks smaller than it is 😅🤞
