The name of the movie seems to be "Tamagotchi: Dokidoki! Uchuu no Maigotchi!?" The new movie is being developed by Toho and is released in theaters December 15, 2007.
New characters include Tanpopo (the human girl) and ChaMametchi (Mametchi's younger sister).
Tamashi-gotchi from Tama-zone provides the storyline:
Mametchi is creating some sort of time-travelling experiment in MameCity in Planet Gotchi, and the experiment goes all wrong leading to human girl Tanpopo teleporting into Planet Gotchi on a shootingstar.
Now Mametchi and his friends Memetchi and Kuchipatchi need to find a way to get the girl succesfully back to Earth, and same time they become curious of the Planet Earth and want to go there for exploration...
...also it seems that Planet Gotchi starts to get some kind of earthquakes and the citizens go in panic. Ok, who did gave Planet Gotchi a bottle of rice wine this time..?
To our knowledge, we currently don't believe that this will be released outside Japan.

This is going to be the cutest movie in Japan, soooooo kawaii, young children will enjoy it, full of pure kawaii imagination, softens their heart, so caring, and warm friendship.... this could be the top of the Kawaii hall of fame...
It seems that Tamagotchi finally got a full length animated movie after 10 years of being overshadowed by its younger, yet tougher v-pet cousin, Digimon.

I've seen this movie and it's all really cute especially mametchi's new baby sister.
The tstory of the movie is that Mametchi makes a device that accidentally brings an 10-year-old earth girl to Tamagotchiland. She lives with Mametchi's family while they try to develop a rocket to take her back. Meanwhile, strange things are happening...the land is bouncing, and even though it's time for school, the sky is pitch black! Is this related to Mametchi's experiment? And will the tamagotchi's get Tanpopo back home? Find out this December!
N in the middle of the word is often pronounce as "m" in japanese, but when the word is romanjised, it's usually written as N to avoid misunderstandtment.

Most of the romanjisation standars (like the common hepburn based system) marks it as N in the middle of word, not M. I am not saying that I'm right or wrong, but this is the way I have learn it.

Yes, it sort of looks like pokemon. That girl looks like the girl in the Animal Crossing Movie.
Can't you use cues and whatever's on the screen? That always helps me. It probably will help you too. Depends how much Japanese you know. ;)

Her name is Tanpopo, not Tampopo... Tanpopo means dandelion.
