    The Scimitar of Twilight is not Twili magic exactly. As Midna explains when Link finds the Master Sword, the magic that Zant wields is not the same magic as the magic from the Twili tribe; it is something that was granted to him by Ganon, some mix between his dark power and Twili magic.

    • @nonoctoro4933
      @nonoctoro4933 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Zant remixed the Shadow Magic with Ganon's demonic powers.
      The Shadow Beast are an exemple of that. Instead of the Green light, red light is convering their body.
      Bu their masks still have the Twili Aesthetic.

    I would consider the Green Ring from Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages. If I remember right, you need to nearly complete both before you can get the item. I’m sure there were other obscure items from those games, too.
    And I love Adventure of Link. I’m not really sure how a mandatory item in a mainline game can not be well known.

    The magnetic gloves are a pretty obscure item I'd say
    As well as the Mermaid suit, the Hyper Slingshot, the Experts Ring which let's Link use Fisticuffs, the other rings like the ones that let you transform into things like a like like, an octorock, or a moblin. Heck the rings in general are s pretty forgotten item. I believe the Oracle games are the only time you actually get something for beating Ganon, if you beat a linked game you get the victory ring which does nothing except shows you beat the linked game.
    Sorry I recently recompleted the Oracle games

If you ever have the chance, could you do a video on the Lost Forrest of Twilight Princess and how its the ruins of the old OOT Castle Town? It was confirmed by a Dev at one point, and this would mean that area is also The Great Plateau, although that one isnt confirmed. As long as botw does it take place in the same timeline as twilight princess (child I think) the scimitar of twilight would still exist because the split of the shikah clan (as far as I know) happened before the events of oot and the scimitar was probably still created by the twili.

    It isn't a bad game, it is fun and challenging. It just doesn't feel quite like a Zelda game. Later entries in the series still borrow ideas from it. And the music is also pretty awesome.

    Pronunciation of “Scimitar” wasn’t the only problem with the number 1 item, because it’s not a scimitar. A scimitar is an Arabian style curve-bladed sword. The sword that was used to reanimate Stallord is more reminiscent of a claymore. So will people please stop referring to it as a scimitar.

    • @HyruleGamer
      @HyruleGamer  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm aware, I made a mistake with the pronunciation but it's logged as a scimitar in the game files so that's what I went by. Yes perhaps I should have added a note saying it's not one but that is clear looking at it.

    The Scimitar of Twilight isn't a Scimitar. Scimitars have curved blades. This one doesn't. Judging by the length of the blade as well as the length of the hilt, its meant to be wielded with 2 hands. That would make it either a Greatsword or a Claymore.

    Personally, I feel like this should have been 2 separate videos. One for items link gets and uses, and one for items used by other characters.
    To whit: I'd throw out there for a link used item: The Great Fairy's Sword from Majora's Mask. If you reassembled the Great Fairies in Majora's mask, you would be granted a buff of some kind. They were completely optional after the first one. The final Fairy or Ikana Canyon however, was so difficult to reassemble that few young players during the original release ever bothered to complete her reassembly. Instead of a health of magic boost, you were granted the sword which you could equip like you would any other normal item. The sword was absurdly powerful and crushed most enemies in a single hit at the cost of one of your usual utility item slots. It was the only blade you could acquire in the game that wasn't an upgrade to the kokiri sword as well. It's design was very similar to the biggoron sword from OoT, but a vibrant pink, purple, and green covered in runes of some kind. Few players unlocked it, and even fewer actually used it due to it's slow cumbersome nature. But by God that thing was a blast if you used it right.

    • @HyruleGamer
      @HyruleGamer  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I feel like making two separate videos is stretching the idea a little personally. Items are items regardless of if they are Links or not :)

    • @pirksaddict
      @pirksaddict 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HyruleGamer, I personally don't think it would be stretching it. The reason why is that when I came across the video, I was all sorts of excited to learn what I had managed to miss in terms of gameplay, but was disappointed to learn that approximately half of the video was about (effectively) lore. Don't get me wrong, I love the lore videos, but.... When one is expecting something different, it can be a bit disappointing. I'm probably not the only one. To whit, I can't speak for others, but I would absolutely be very interested in seeing a video about the tools used by others than the hero exclusively. There's a lot of things worth talking about there I think. Subsequently, there are plenty of tools and items that Link himself uses that just kind of disappear after various titles.
      I'm not a content creator though... So, best I can do is offer what I think would be fun to see. :)
