The man is a true genius , he reinvents himself like a true renaissance, his rap utility belt is fully loaded, rhyme schemes, lyricism, story telling, modesty, boastfulness, tragic, redemption then he can speed rap, sing, produce insane beats(not all his great beats are Dre’s!)and he’s not afraid (no pun intended)to be creative and try different things

    • @TheCottons
      @TheCottons  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Yeah we’re just now taking a deep dive into his music and all the things you said are 100% true. I have to emphasize the production, I didn’t realize how truly amazing his beats are. And the way he bends words and rhymes word after word after word in patterns I’ve never heard done is CRAZY!

    For me:
    1) Rap music = lyrics (words play and rhymes) + cadence ( and storytelling for the elites).
And Eminem is in top 3 of all times/générations.
2)The Guy have a hell of kindness.
    3) He makes music with his heart. When he was young, broke and angry, he pull out SSLP, MMLP and Cleaning out my closet. After his overdose, so he was mature and not broke anymore, so chill, he drop out Recovery, Revival and Headlights.
So I saw him growing physically, mentally and financially. I love people Who evolves.
4)I always Labeled him as the GOAT but Revival made me an ultime fan of him.
    5) Nobody pays hommage to pioneers more than him.
    6) He has a song for everything : rébellion, sex, being broke af, being harassed, motivation, apologizing, throwing a middle finger, etc.
    I love that man.

I’m a fan of ‘Em because I can relate to things he talks about and he’s completely honest and transparent. There’s really not much that any fan of his doesn’t know about his life and I think that’s what any fan would want and appreciate about one of their favorite artist. As for the lyrics, he says what he wants when he wants to who and about who ever he wants and he doesn’t care. To many people take his lyrics to literal in a lot of his songs when it comes to killing or hurting someone, when he talks about killing someone it’s usually meant lyrically and with his pad and pen.

This is Em’s most important song in modern day as of 2010-2021 is Not Afraid this song introduced us to what Em was becoming he evolved and became better than what he was not just as a Hip Hop Artist/Rapper but overall as a human being Em is a better man than he was Em inspires me till this day and when Not Afraid came out I felt a sense of maturity from Em frfr Sobriety was the best thing to happen to Em’s life Em could’ve went out sad but he rose from those ashes and is back to being the man he was always chasing and is continuing to do what he loves and that’s having a stable life while continue doing his passion which is Hip Hop which he’s The Goat Of👊🏽🐐🙌🏽✨🎯💯(Also everytime I listen to Not Afraid I feel motivated and joyful yet emotional cause Em put his soul into this track and the choir was a nice touch as well to this track and Em can sing check out songs like She Loves Me,In Too Deep,Higher,Twisted etc. and the message at the beginning was mainly him speaking about his period of drug-addict depression, which has inspired his rebirth/sobriety and now Em is 12 or 13 years of being sober)

I've always loved Em as part of the hip-hop culture, his music, cadences, his honesty, openness, passionate, goofiness, uses his music to spread messages on whats going on in our country, producing tracks, storytelling, dark humorous, his petty savageness, and how he's always paid homage to those who came before him and how thankful he is of the life of hip-hop that has given him and turns around and pays it forward with newer artists that he respects. BUT I have a HUGE amount of respect for Marshall on who he is as a person, his humbleness, he's selfless, his nerdyness, a fighter/survivor, loyal, a friend, a father, and a brother. People can say all they want about Em and his music but NO ONE can deny how truly amazing he is as a father despite on how abusive (physically/emotionally) and toxic his upbringing was by his step-dad, mother and absentee dad, lost both of his uncles in a awful way and bullied BADLY and even ended up in a hospital in a coma as a kid for a week or two due to his bully. Even despite him and Kim being together not healthy, they managed to actually be really close friends in the later years, and anytime either one of them struggled, they had each others backs and stepped up for each other.
    - Hailie is his only biological daughter with Kim she was born on Christmas 95.
    - Alaina, born in 93, is Kim's niece/her twin sisters daughter she was adopted by him and Kim in early 00's. Then Whitney, who now goes by Stevie when she clarified herself as non-binary/bisexual, is Kim's youngest/Hailies half-sister born in 02 (21 years old now) and he adopted her in 05.
Then, when his younger half-brother Nathan turned 16, Marshall took him in after being put into the fostering system and became his legal guardian due to their mother being very unfit and with Nates father not being in the picture as well. Nate lived with them till sometime after he graduated from HS. So he raised all 4 kids all together. He REALLY had to step up for his girls, especially when Kim was going through her on and off struggles with depression over the years.
    - Alaina biological mom Dawn/Kim's twin sister died in 2016 due to OD years after they adopted her, and
Whitney/Stevie biological father also died from OD in 2019.
    - Nathan is 37 years old now and has 3 kids with his very longtime girlfriend Ashley who now have married since in 2018 and their 3 kids got to be in the wedding ❤ when he was a teenager he really got into DJ and still is passionate about it he does venues, clubs, parties, events, grand openings etc. He is an entrepreneur. He made a few rap singles but didn't stick with the raping though he just stuck with the DJ. Also, when younger, he got to work on Eminems crew like on local tours/back stage stuff and he got to be in a few of the music videos as well. Nathan really looks up to his older brother as an idol and that he learned how to be a good father because of Marshall.
    - Alaina is 30 years old now and recently got married to her longtime boyfriend Bryan in July 2023. With Hailie as her Maid of Honor and Marshall walked her down the aisle ❤. She's a travel blogger, mental health/fitness advocate, and runs a book club somewhere online, kind of like Zoom. She was also the 1st person in their family to go to college and graduate from college with a communications and advertising degree from Oakland. Last I heard, she's thinking about going back to school to get another degree. Alaina had it really rough with Dawn as her mom when she was younger before she got adopted. Yes, Kim struggled with her addictions/depression, but it was MUCH WORST with her sister that she just couldn't take care of Alaina at all, similar to Marshall and Nates' mom. So Alaina looked up to her dad/uncle Marshall and learned from him that you can change things for the better in your own life and can make a good life for yourself. In which she did! She didn't follow the same path as her biological mom path. Marshall broke the cycle of toxic upbringing, and the kids followed that same example and made good life's for themselves.
    - Hailie is 27 years old now and just got engaged to her boyfriend Evan of 6 years beginning of February this year (He asked her dad for his blessing beforehand on her birthday Dec. 25th when they were getting her cake), they started dating in their sophomore year of college @ Michigan State. She graduated in the top of her class with a psychology degree, she has her own podcast called "Just a little Shady" with her childhood best friend Britney they just started their 2nd season (I LOVE it), she is a influencer and models for Puma. She's very close to both of her parents, sisters, Nate and his little family, and she was close to Kim's parents, especially her Nana. She calls Nate her bruncle because even though hes her uncle, they are only 10 years apart, and growing up together in the same house, she looked up to him as an older brother.
    - Marshall did amazing with those kids considering how their lives originally started out and then, plus, with all the ups and downs. He had rules in the house like no cussing even for him. He tried his hardest to keep Eminem that the outside world knew separated from Marshal as their dad and brother. He treated his work in the studio as a legit 9-5 job Mon-Fri so he could be home with the kids to help with their homework when younger and having dinner together, etc.
He gave them a normal childhood away from the Hollywood media spotlight well as normal as he could. Michigan is like their safe place to be able to live a semi normal life without the added stress, going to public schools, making sure they stayed focus in school and learning, spending time together as family, going to basketball games (They are definitely a basketball and football family, lol), always there supporting them, loving them unconditionally, showing up to parent teacher night, volunteering in their school activities. Showing up at events like sports, dance recitals, Hailie being crowned homecoming queen, graduations, birthdays, and holidays. He let THEM decide if they wanted to be in the spotlight or not as individuals and would support them either way. He didn't want to take their choice away if they wanted to continue live privately as they got older and if they did want to show themselves on social media when they got older then they get to choose for themselves on when they wanted to.
He raised them to be kind hearted, well grounded, family oriented, giving, funny, incredibly intelligent, very humble, hard working, uses there platforms for the good and the positive, and actually appreciate what they have aswell never forgetting where they all came from. Unlike a lot of your celebrity kids who turned out to be entitled, spoiled, and egotistical A**holes. Lol, one of the things that made me love Hailie even more is no matter how much money she might have (her net worth is about 2mil she earned herself) she LOVES to bargain shop, her favorite places to shop is at Target, Homegoods/Marshalls, Forever 21, Ulta Beauty and Amazon. Then she gives tips on her tiktok (Hailie Jade) on how you can style (clothes/interior decor/holiday decor) without it being expensive and giving people heads up on good deals and clearances at different stores.

Ans1: The reason why people are drawn to him... Mainly Has to do with his mad lyricist skills... He's a storyteller... One of the greatest ones of our time
Ans2: Yes, his lyrics does get dark at times... But the fact remains... At least he's got something to say... He's got a message... He's gotta story... Unlike most of the face tattooed self proclaimed rapper who dont have the content and just survive on their producers talent
Best example being, this song itself is about how he fought addiction and git clean and that made him better and how he will never go back... He also tells everyone else going thru the same thing that they ain't alone..

Eminem is my favorite artist of all time. I think we Stans are really drawn to him because of what he’s able to convey in his music. He has music for everyone. If you are sad, Eminem got it. If you are depressed he has song about it, if you need motivation or want to go work out, he has it. If you are looking for funny, he has it. He has music for different people who are going through different things. Thais is why he has a huge following. Also he’s word play is just Crazy. Nobody puts words together like Eminem. He will make them rhyme. I never seen someone bend words that’s not supposed to rhyme and they still rhyme. If u think I’m lying. Listen to “Stay Wide Awake” off of the Relapse album. He’s taking you through the us mindset of of a serial killer and he’s rhyming words and the cadence is crazy. So Eminem has it all. Lyrics, story telling, cadence, rhymes. Double and triple entendres. He has it all. Forever the goat.
Yes he has dark lyrics, but it’s the message for me. He has a way of saying the craziest shit and still conveying the message.

    1. His music helped me learn about how people are since I have/had trouble on interacting with and reading their emotions and motivation.
    2. What was most controversial for me from him is how he expresses his feelings and pain with ease and paints so vivid pictures. How honest he is. Not something he said to get a reaction from people, but rather how he said it and how he came from the same place I was in when I started listening his music.

Great reaction to one of my fav Eminem songs - so inspirational!👏 Em is a walking dictionary and thesaurus 🐐 best rapper bar none! I've seen him 3 times in concert (in Ireland!) First time he'd just dropped his 'Recovery' album and it was his comeback gig - OMG - FIRE!!!🔥 Un-f**king-believable!
Em is literally a Genius - totally off the scale!🔥Lyrically, no-one from any genre can match his immense vocabulary - his rhyming schemes, flow, subject matter, his storytelling abilities, he's so autobiographical with his material not to mention his rapping skills. He is an enigma - labyrinth of puzzles within a riddle - that's why he's THEE GOAT!🐐

I like em because hes different, especially at the time he released. He has this way of drawing you into the songs even if its a topic you cant relate to with the way he puts together and describes things. He paints a very vivid picture with his story telling. He is also More varied in the topics he covers which everyone at some point can relate to.
As for his controversial lyrics i think he said it best in the real slim shady:
"I'm like a head trip to listen to, but i'm only giving things you joke about with your friends inside your living room. Only difference is i got the balls to say it in front of ya'll And dont have to be false or sugar coat it at all."

Waooo!!!....Congratulations my friends!! ...If you decide to react to famous singers videos in the future, here you have your best gift of your life!!....Today it is very difficult to find reactors like you who have never reacted to the best singer in the world, Dimash Kudaibergen, who has 7 octaves and 3 semitones vocal range (An alien) ... Maybe someone made you a request to react to Dimash, but you have not had time .... I am going to dare to recommend that you meet Dimash, because when you do it for the first time, your life as reactor will change forever ....For example, the number of views that you have today, it will increase by 300% in a matter of a few hours and you will get a lot of new subscribers.....But when you react to Dimash, don't do it with his most recent songs ... I recommend that you go to the year 2017 and react to the song that made him a global idol ... I mean the performance he did Dimash from the famous French song called "SOS D'un Terrien en Détresse", when he participated in the famous Chinese reality show The Singer in that year 2017 ... With that performance Dimash earned the reputation of being the best singer on the planet, so I recommend you start with that one.... You can also start with the other famous live version of that song that Dimash did the following year 2018 when he was invited to the famous Slavic Bazzar festival in Belarus .... Both performances are from another planet...And I have to give you a warning: Never react to The World Best videos, because they suck!...Your life will never be the same again, after reacting for the first time to Dimash...And your first reaction to Dimash will be something very special, so I recommend that you do the best job of your life as a reactor, because that first video will be seen by thousands of people around the world, maybe millions...I hope to see you first reaction soon and if you don't mind, I'd like you to mention me as the person who recommended reacting to Dimash, but if you don't want to, that's fine...

That had nothing to do with music theory. That's just breaking down bars.
