It was hot, but the Legion was hotter!! The football team may disappoint, but never the Legion. From Norfolk, to Atlanta, to Houston to the grand stage in Pasadena, the band never disappoints. Glad they remembered Mr. Fears on this day. The Hot Ice celebration was also nice. And the tunnel after the game was something to Behold! Alums, we must continue to support the Legion. They are great ambassadors of NSU!!

The Legion is legendary!!! I love how they always recognize different groups and people who influenced the band especially Emery Fears, the true and only chief of the Norfolk State University Marching Spartan Legion Band!!! Up two-eight!!

I will be very honest. I went to see Norfolk play in Nashville against Tennessee State. I felt that they were a little quiet and too comfortable. I am so grateful for this performance because I swear to you, it took everything in my being to hold back tears just now, because when Norfolk is at its, best, it chokes me up, literally to see a band just that good. This is the Norfolk, I am accustomed to. BRILLIANT performance!!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 FULLY understood the assignment!!!!!!!!!!!
As a current NSU mom, I felt this and was thinking I was overreacting 🥹😂!!! My daughter isn’t in the band but considering she graduated high school a year early got accepted to NSU which was her top pick of colleges whewww okay okay okay 😢😂😁❤️
While I'm trying to be impartial and fair NSU had a good Half-time performance. Notice I said performance. They were in the middle of the field with little movement, playing in place while their flags and Silver dancers performed. It was again a good performance. Now MSU gave a great show from start to finish with NSU fans giving them rousing applauses. They did formations and danced to a medley of 10 songs. You had to be dead at the neck if you were just sitting when they performed all those tunes from the 80's. They ended their show with a split by the whole band after dancing for 10 minutes. The NSU fans in the stands said they enjoyed what MSU did over their band. With NSU theme song they need to add a show. Just being honest.... Oh by the way they were good in the Tournament of Roses parade. I was proud of them.

Let's just say this, nobody's checking for Morgan's band, splits and all. Our show was devoted to the creator of the Spartan Legion who passed away earlier this year and our dance line who are celebrating 40 years. You trying to throw an underhanded compliment by talking about the Rose bowl Parade when Morgan's band has never been in the top 10 of bands as far as halftime shows or anything is concerned. The Legion was named ESPNs the Undefeated as the 2021 band of the year based on its halftime shows. I just watched Morgan's show and the audience was sitting there bored while the band was playing a watered down version He Wasn't Man Enough while individual instruments were sticking out. Plus the band was STANDING while playing Jam On It and Push It so I don't get where you thought that was some fantastic show and that MSU was dancing and moving the entire show. Y'all JUST did the Honda this year and can't tell y'all nothing now. Hopefully those 80s tunes and that split will get y'all an invite somewhere else.
