Little curiosity, that's not the blades dashboard but the first version of the nxe(new Xbox experience). If the console firmware version is something like < 2.0.7371 you have a jtagable Xbox that means the value will be a lot higher
no its not about the firmware version you could mod an xbox with the tiles UI
it actually depends on the model of ur xbox
if u have a fat one you can definitely jtag it, the slim rgh, and the E model prob only rgh or rjtag
@@patricioignacio-n2f that's not true, I'm modding since 2014, Modding a 360 Winchester is impossible, Corona and trinity only rgh and this are the slim models. For the fat models like the one in the video you can do JTAG, r-jtag, rgh1, rgh1.2. JTAG only under 7371, r-jtag I don't remember but something like 2.0.15xxx. And rgh under 17559.

who wouldn’t miss the 360? it was amazing! we didn’t have to download games and we could also simply just plug in the connect sensor to play kinect games. now we must download games and use wifi to do it

My first 360 console was the same Arcade bundle. It died exactly 1 year after purchase with the e74 graphics chip overheating error. I ended up getting another Arcade but a later revision and its still working to this day. Then there was the need to buy the hard drive that attached to the side of this and earlier Core model as well as the internal one if you only had the newer 4gb E or S model. When games like GTA V and Alien Isolation started requiring a HDD in order to play them. "This game requires an Xbox 360 hard drive in order to continue". As these models were never originally sold with a HDD.
when I heard that Microsoft was discontinuing the 360 that was the time to get a 360, the one that I chose was the slim. since I was aware of the originals always redringing on people, not exactly a fun time. and so far the 360 Slim is pretty good.

Its very sad that this legendary console is gonna be forgotten. My xbox360 is standing right next to me. I completed gears of war first time today. The gameplay and graphics were good. Im very sad that were not gonna see this console anymore in the future. what a great console😢😢

Press F for my old 360 had gone to console heaven this week.. I still played it for the games aren't on the backwards compatible like Medal of Honor, Medal of Honor: Warfighter. and Tony Hawk games. Update: It was the power cord that it is working again that I went to a used games shop to buy a used one.
Im not gonna sell my beloved Xbox 360 I'll just let her rest , what a great experience it was to have and played one of the best consoles....truly farewell 😔

Miss my having my flashed xbox 360 plus playing NCAA 14. Still play some backwards compatibility games like Red Dead Redemption once a week with friends who still game on 360, most of them still have 360 because they have rgh and have all access to every game released
5:31 no it’s not. Blades was the original 4 (and later 5) multicolour dashboard that had concave sides in the left and right so it mirrored the cloud 360 design. What you have there us the NXE, the original version from around 2009

The graphics on the 360 really are nice. That could e been the last console ever and I’d be happy.
One positive note is that when the Xbox 360 finally stops receiving updates and online support, the modding community can start working on ways to softmod the console to play games/ISO's from external scources. The first thing to malfunction in a 6th or 7th gen console is the disc drive (at least if its taken good care of) and being able to continue playing 360 games on original hardware is important as the backwards compatiblity on the newer Xbox consoles require online connectivity.
So far the only way to do this is with actual modding of the hardware to my knowledge. My PS2 slim is in pristine condition apart from that the disc drive just dont work anymore, and its softmodded. There are a few hicups and compatiblity issues with certain games to overcome. But I haven't encountered a game among my 60 games which I haven't gotten to run after some tinkering.
My guess is that similar feats with the Xbox 360 never happened because of continued support and updates from MS to prevent piracy. When they officially end their support and dont release new software changes this shouldn't be a problem for hackers and modders anymore.
And maybe someday I can stick in a USB drive or External hard drive with all my Xbox 360 games on it directly into the console an play all my games from it without having to worry about discs getting scratched or worse.
Yeah, hard modding the console is the only way to mod a 360 at the moment. But mind you, honestly...they're not that expensive to buy. I know a dude selling modded 360s for $100. Ebay tends to have 'em for $120-200. Not super cheap, but considering all the stuff you can do with a modded 360, it's not bad. Can get a bit pricier if it comes with stuff though. Like, those prices are usually for JUST the console. You'd need to provide your own controller, power brick, HDMI cable (or component depending on the model), and external hard drive if you want more storage.
But, you could also buy half-working modded consoles, with busted disc drives or something, to get the price a bit lower. Or even get an unmodded one and just pay someone to mod it for you.
Personally, I PREFER soft mods. Less prone to breaking, and can usually be re-done if something does end up messing up. But I just bought a modded 360, and I'm absolutely loving it. I haven't had a 360 in years, and my current console is a Series S, which lacks a disc drive, so all my old 360 games were just sitting in a box, unused. Now I can use them again, plus I can play games I missed out on. Add in the custom Aurora dashboard with themes and stuff, and it's pretty dang nice. And it can even play Original Xbox games (not every single game ever, and some that do work have slowdown, but a majority of the ones I've tried work just fine).

The xbox 360 was built different the ease of use the games the online it all felt so immaculate. I was born 2005 but i played everything and nothing beats the 360 in my eyes.

I've had and still have all of the main consoles and some of the more rare ones starting with the Atari 2600 in 1981, and I have to say that the 360 is my favorite system of all time. I don't have a PS5 yet, but I don't believe my opinion will change once I do get one.
I got an Xbox 360 console I had a few years ago, would make pixel arts a lot In Minecraft, and I would always go to my friends house who has a 360 and we would play Minecraft and COD BO2 constantly a lot of times…

i think i had an xbox 360 ever since 2008, it died in like 2021 because the disc just wouldnt read discs anymore
then i played on the ps2 from 2021 to 2023, stopping like a month or two ago because three buttons on my controller wouldnt work

Xbox 360 will always be the most nostalgic game console to ever exist. Had some amazing experiences on it. So much games I’ve enjoyed.
Kinda crazy to think its already going out. I still have mine but barely play it, I moved on to the ps5. I so want to eventually mod the 360 though and make it a emulation console.
At this point you might be better off modding it and selling it and buying a series S or X (if you want the drive) and getting dev mode to emulate.

That's true quality tell that 55 percent of 360 owners who had buy a 2nd or 3rd 360 cause of the RROD or hardware defects cause 360 had a 55 percent failure rate.

I won't miss my Xbox 360's. Cause I still play one of my 360's, PS3 and Wii regularly. But also my Switch and Series X. Older systems even too.
The xbox 360 store will not shut down and it wont be gone forever. But I do applaud the clickbait, these games being delisted are for licensing issues among other things. The deals signed with their respective developers have run out, so if not renewed they must be delisted.

In the United States there are many privately owned shops that sell retro games and systems. Some are higher priced than others but they are available. For the 360 one of the rarest games for it is
Need for Speed most wanted. Released in 2005 for the ps2, Xbox original and pc as well but the 360 version for me is the holy grail of 360 titles. The reason is that in late 2005 the 360 was a rare system to have just like any other newly released system and the people who did own a 360 not all was a need for speed fan. I have a copy of need for speed most wanted on the 360 and it is still very acceptable in terms of its graphics compared to even the newer need for speeds.
It was on the Nintendo gamecube as well. I just finished fixing my gamecube and I'm pumped to play it again. Definitely my favorite nfs game

Who said the Xbox 360 is gone forever it’s got games you can’t play on the Xbox one I still play on it to unlock achievements every Xbox consoles got games that you can’t play on the next gen except for the Xbox one all xbox one games can be played on the Xbox series X so you don’t need to play on the Xbox one ever again but the original Xbox and xbox 360 consoles are still going to be needed until all games are playable on the Xbox series x

And yes I'll miss the Xbox 360 my most favorite console of all time!!! It's so Nostalgic when you look at it. I have the Xbox 360 slim!!!! Sadly I don't have those 2005 to 2009 Xbox's for Nostalgia but I'm happy to have an Xbox.
The original Xbox and the Xbox 360 come from a time when Xbox were undoubtedly setting the standards. The Original Xbox was incredible, Microsoft came into the console market and bought a whole new level of gaming with it. Xbox Live, and 8GB's of storage as standard, these alone blew the PS2 out of the water. The overall specs of the system were incredible for it's time also. I changed my original Xbox to the NTSC region, being from the UK, and with component I am playing some games in 720p, on a 22 year old console. the 360 improved on these standards massively, bringing xbox live 2.0, better hardware, and storage upgradability. This broadside from Microsoft was a massive wakeup call for Sony, now these two titans are Bringing incredible innovations in the console space with each generation. The PS5 and Xbox series X are both amazing systems, and i say this as primarily a PC gamer.

I just got an rgh 360. I also have an Xbox one and Series X, amongst other consoles. No idea why you'd get rid of the 360. The games are still very playable and many titles haven't made it to the next gen consoles, despite backwards compatibility.
I just can't believe they might be doing this the xbox 360 is such a legendary console.
I bought an Xbox 360 and a 3DS last year just to replay my childhood and I gotta say it was fun but then I just felt an overwhelming sense of loneliness and depression whenever I was on the Home Screen, for 2 reasons, 1 online activity is dead so it just feels like an empty liminal space and 2 because of the memories of it being so full and the people and the constant new attention to both from their companies

I think I played the Xbox 360 Arcade; it was likely my parents’ console. I can only remember back to 2010, as I was only around 5 or 6 years old during the time I played this console. It wasn’t until my 7th birthday during the fall of 2011 that I got the first console I ever owned, the Wii.

I was 12 in 2006, born in 94, and got my Xbox 360 on my birthday and still have it to this day, and it still works. I never got RROD, I have replaced the thermal paste on the chips twice over the years and put the additional fans connected to the back in like 2007 and never took them off. I also never played it for more than a couple hours at a time. I think the fat, white OG 360s are the best looking. SO many memories on this console. The years of 2006-2008 we got COD WAW with Zombies and MW, Halo 3, L4D, GTA 4, Fallout 3, Oblivion, Bioshock, DeadSpace, and so many more. It was the best era of gaming handsdown. I also still have my OG fat PS2, original Xbox, and N64. All still work. The nice thing is that I have all the hard copies of all the games, no installs. I have nearly 200 titles between them all.

The leaked information was later confirmed to be incorrect while the games that were being taken away from the store are under suspicion of licensing issues.
Thought it was stated, that it isn't shutting down, the statement was done in error. About 40 games or so are getting delisted, and with the marketplace closing for a year or so was done in error. So it isn't shutting, or who knows, maybe it might've been but microsoft saw the huge backlash at it, so it is staying up. And even a month before this video came out, the statement was given about it all. So for a while at least, it is staying. Ben here, could've seen that but posted the video anyway, even had a month to see what was what. But yes, it is staying right where it is, which is a good thing.
Back when the RRoD was rampant. I used to just buy the Arcade model when my console would die and swap out the HDD. Saved a fortune

TBH, the graphics aren't that much worse unless you use a huge TV. Considering the 360 will be 20 years old in a few years. I went to CEX and got 10 games for £14
Sony tried to discontinue the PS3 marketplace us fans complained and they decided to keep it running. Xbox 360 owners should do the same thing. We need to take the power and preserve this awesome marketplace
I started with PlayStation as well but switched to Xbox because i think Xbox exclusives are much better and the hardware is just better

Depends. Do you have a playstation? Go for the ps5. Do you have an xbox? Go for the series x. If you dont have a console get what your friends have. Imo i like the series x better, also in my country it is cheaper. Peformance wise they are the same.
See which game exclusive amazes you like you prefer God of War games over what Xbox exclusives offer, than PS5 is worth it and it has good games in my opinion but if you like Xbox exclusives than go with and also PS5 has less storage 825 (~620 GB USABLE) vs 1 TB (~825GB USABLE FOR XBOX)
And PS5 offers NVME upgrade from your preferred Pcie 4 M.2 but if you need to upgrade for Xbox you need to buy their exclusive small factor ssd upgrade thing and it's wayy expensive than a standard one that you purchase off on Amazon.
Both console have great hardware so hardware doesn't matter Games do and form factor also, well I will leave this one onto you.
(All of this is my opinion and I like God of War series and that's why I went with PS5 :) and saving up for Xbox Series X or S idk)
And yeah if your friend has "Y" console then get that console for obvious reason don't wanna get locked down over different eco-system 😊
On paper, the Series X is more powerful, but the PS5 is faster. They both do the job. I have a PS5 and like it, but want to get a Series X down the road. If you want backwards compatibility, get the Xbox. If you want exclusives, get the playstation
