I don't usually comment on videos. However, I would just like to say that I love this series. Your filming style and all the things to do with pretty pictures is just incredible and now I feel invested in to this journey that you have take. This is storytelling at its best.

Irish Exit made his film about the 2019 PCT experience, but he failed to do what you continue to do video to video Elina - show his fun, adventurous and personable side. It's one of those things your videos do that very few other PCT videos do - the focus on the people you traveled with, not just yourself - and it is awesome.

It's true. I spent the last few hours skimming through other trail movies and nothing is touching Elina's film. No one else seems to capture the thrill of new relationships, the beauty of the trail, and the personal growth that comes with a journey like this.

We are all so very lucky that you found your electronics bag. Sundays wouldn't be the same without your vlogs. You had the timing right for getting over Mather Pass. Some hikers a week or so before you had some horrible experiences. The beauty of the Sierra certainly has to be earned with pain! Great video, thanks.

😍 really some epic stretches. And one day we will read more about timestamp 4:27 in your book 😉.
As you also had a lot of snow in the mountains: I highly recommend to watch "The long way home" from Titouan Le Roux. He did the PCT in 2023 with the highest snowpack ever. With an epic strech over San Jacinto and trough the Sierra.

So satisfying to watch these episodes. For some reason I was especially looking forward to this one. Woke up early and kept refreshing your page until I got the notification 😂 thanks again for the incredible work you're doing with these videos. They are beautiful.
Also, I'm interested to hear the full story of what happened before Mammoth (with all the rain and thunderstorms) - when you're ready of course - I think it's great that you don't just show the romantic side of hiking. It's incredible and inspiring to see all the ups and downs.
Looking forward to the next chapter ❤️

It's quite crazy how different the Sierra-section can be. In the vid 'The art of walking' from Austin Seder from 2021, the Sierra-chapter is entitled 'Easy livin' (almost no snow at the same time).

Love watching your videos and been especially waiting for this episode. I'm a Brit who lived in Ashland for 5 years back in the 80's. Owned the youth hostel and met many PCT hikers as we were a registry. Learned to x-country ski around Crater Lake fueled by mushrooms and white wine. Gorgeous country, having lived in the Middle East for 13 years I really miss it. Enjoy.

I have really enjoyed all these 2019 PCT videos, and this one is my favorite. They are done so beautifully and artistically, and the music is very well chosen and does not dominate the video. The narration is beautiful. I finally completed the JMT in 2019 after sporadically doing sections of it over 29 years, and now I'm piecing together sections of the PCT...I may or may not finish, and that's not the point. We're all out there to have fun and see the world and meet other like minded awesome people. I, too, would love to learn someday what happened between Mather Pass and Mammoth (since that was the last section I did before completing the JMT), but no pressure. Big love to you Elina, keep making your beautiful videos!

Hey Tip Tap-- I'm Toast, Sobo '19. We probably crossed paths somewhere in Oregon. At 13:10 one of your trailmates ("Kevlar?" climbing in the snow toward Sonora Pass?) mentions "following the footsteps of the great Mr. Peanutbutter." Mr Peanutbutter was the first nobo thru I met, we shared a table at the Timberline Lodge Breakfast buffet! That was on August 2, 2019, as a sobo I was about 550 miles in. Great video, thanks. FYI, I had the exact tent situation you did--started with a Plexamid, the struts exploded, and I swapped out for a Duplex Palace! Happy trails.
