- I've decided to make available this fan music video I compiled/edited back in 2017. This is an amazing track by Southern Rock band 'Lynyrd Skynyrd' from the 1977 album 'Street Survivors'. For the music video I used footage from various live performances & documentaries on Skynyrd. I made this video before I used the shorter (and easier to pronounce) "Mich DC" name, so it has my full name on the watermark in the bottom right corner there.

Anyone else figure out why Ani drugs types tried to use this song as their theme song?,I had it figured out before hand cause it was one 1⃣ of those songs that everyone would memorize word for word when it came out and it was one 1⃣ of many songs by various groups and solo acts that had slightly antidrug themes that were based on personal experiences many musicians (songwriters and performers) had happen in their lives

I love their music so much. It hurts to think of all the tragedy the band endured-from the plane crash and then Allen Collins car accident that paralyzed him, and then so many band members who have died at relatively young ages.

The documentary on Muscle Shoals talks about when Skynyrd recorded there. They were staying at the local truck stop eating peanut butter sandwiches and fighting with the truck drivers.

I play the old skynyrd all the time the other day I was blasting this same song and my old lady came home and turnd it off and started bitching saying I’m sick of this music we been married for 35 years now and you been play this shit every day for 35years I told her to get the hell out and don’t come back that tears it we will be getting a divorce she been gone now for three weeks and it has been haven just me some beers and a little grass and skynyrd that is the end of our 35years and I will never get married again it’s Ben nothing but a giant pain in the ass but the hell ride is over.

They never really ever needed anything except a third guitar when Ed King left.And Ronnie didn't have to do much leg work for him thanks to honkette Cassie Gaines.He was that a whole lot more.I think that everyone knew he was top dog but he always seemed to hold back at times.Ronnie knew for sure look at his face in videos,! That's my Okie he said! He's definitely in my top 10 pickers of All Time

Hey Sherrel Hill from Alabama this is Jeff Yoder the ol'broke down scooter tramp, exbiker and I can agree 👍 with you 💯 percent ,even if I'm a west coast born and raised Rebel as you might be able to sense by how I introduce myself, and I'll never be sorry about the lifestyle I chose and at 72years old (as of Friday July 15th, 2022)and as a Vietnam Era veteran the lifestyle that helped me get past the reception home that my generation of veterans got compared to those veterans who came before and since have gotten but I'm not looking to get into any debate about our "supervisory expedition " in southeast Asia which became a war by default, but after 50years worth of mainly only other veterans of other generations showing my generation of veterans the respect and support that they got when they came home
And for all of you out there, I apologize and will get down from my soapbox and let the conversation get back to the music 🎶 which is what this conversation is supposed to be about, and I'm hoping you'll accept my apology, since it came from my heart ♥ just like the rest of my comment did
She'll Hill I smelled that smell a little over 17 years ago when I got clean and sober again and for the last time and I'm thinking I'm pretty much ready for whenever my Higher Power decides to call me up to sit beside him and get the rest that I hope and pray I'll deserve
