    I just got this deck in today. I love the artwork on it. My riding days are numbered so Im def not doing any tricks but I agree. The shorter wheel bases always seemed a little easier to handle as far as flips go

    could you please elaborate on short vs long wheelbase ? pros and cons as I'm quite new to sb since last year (while spending my young times skating that was not a topic of interest..)
    thanks 👍

    • @AndrewCannon
      @AndrewCannon 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Of course, A shorter wheel base is going to make it easier to turn and to get your board around. When the wheel base is longer, it makes the board more stable - think about a longboard, when you ride a longboard it's really steady but you cant make nearly as quick of a turn as you can on a shorter board. Does that help at all?

    • @olivl.7671
      @olivl.7671 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah that's perfect, make sense definitely 👍

    • @Chrissss205
      @Chrissss205 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I find short wheelbase better for Switch 180s especially bs & high ollie, but you can get better flips with longer length.

  • @diplenski
    @diplenski 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    this sounds good but i think i'd want more nose, 7"+. my widest board right now is 8.25", i used to ride 7.5"-8.125" in the '90s and 8.5" seemed unrideable back then. i'm 6'3, 230, size 12 shoes, and i really like the extra width and stability. i'm much more about the comfort and quality of the ride than anything else these days. i think i'd like the extra strength and stiffness too

    I was skating a bank next to Java Joe’s in OB in 95’. And some kid who was grabbing a coffee asked to grab my board. He would Ollie grab/ full extended judo and finger flip land. I kept on making him do it and he’s like “Man it kinda hurts..lol”. Then 5 minutes later some kid was like Rob Roskopp was just skating here. I was like ‘Whatever’.. Just never put it together that the kid that used my board was him until 15 years later! 🤣
