@@benedikt4162 haven't looked into it much yet. Just noticed one plus switch isn't on the app store. But I could obviously just do it through the computer.

@@benedikt4162 I uploaded all photos to google photos and downloaded to my computer via google drive and then just copied them to my oneplus 6t via USB, as for music I use Spotify and for contacts I exported them from my MacBook's contacts app to.vcr file and then also just transferred it to the oneplus via cable

I could spend $750 (Stock) on the xr and it comes with almost nothing... where this phone is $550 (Stock) and is way faster and looks nicer imo.

This phone is like a gaming PC built for performance. But you only have an old work Monitor, and rubber dome keyboard, and a decent mouse. Just enough airflow in the case to not catch fire. It's able to play all the games on high, but, nothing else particularly amazing. But it does merc the Xr, what phone doesn't that's 400 or more?

Watched the video how Lou had to press the power button before every unlock... I know there's DT2W but it's still an extra step that will slow unlocking down by *a lot* (considering it's now nearly instant). I'm ordering as well but I've got a nagging feeling I will end up returning.

@@PetrSedlacek You do not have to press the power button to unlock as far as I understand. I think he's doing that to show where to press or similar.

The headphone jack is 100% NOT DEAD. I have shopped for Bluetooth headphones before and the market place for GOOD Bluetooth headphones can be very pricey. Especially if you care about sound quality. Bluetooth is great, but there are sooo many better quality headphones that are affordable with an audio jack. Even with exercise earbuds, I prefer an audio jack only so I don't have to deal with charging headphones or loosing connectivity. So the audio jack is here to stay. At least for me

True their are very good wireless headphones, I have two pair myself. I also have wired headphones for when I want lossless audio, which is not possible with wireless. I don't want to have to buy another pair of USB headphones and don't like the dongle option personally.
My favorite pair of headphones give me the best of both worlds, Bluetooth yet have a detachable cord so I can go wired for when I want lossless audio for mixing my DJ music.
@@spyder6925 yeah but with Apt-X HD the sound difference is almost indistinguishable. It supports upto 576 kbits audio streaming so unless you have superhuman hearing you won't hear any difference
Lakekid 94 then you clearly have no idea what your looking for. If you did you would realize you buy a pair of Sony 950bts for like $80 and it’s Bluetooth with incredible sound.
OnePlus gives flagship experience in less cost, good camera, latest software's, latest processor which makes OnePlus a better option than other flagship phones, iphone market is too costly in India compared to other countries.

So as someone who works in the electronics department of a supermarket chain similar to walmart, I can tell you on a masic low end consumer level the headphone jack is very much not dead. We consistently carry more headphones and earbuds in our electronics with the 3.5 headphone jack then we do Bluetooth, customers come in every day asking where our lightning to 3.5 adapters are, they want the cords that go from lightning to 3.5 that demand ridicules prices, they complain about how apple doesn't supply the adapters with their newer iphones, they tell me how stupid it is how annoying it is. On a higher end level, for people who know what they're doing in the tech world, who have a bit of extra cash, the headphone jack might seem unimportant, and something we can throw in the trash, but on a low end consumer level, I would argue the majority of phone users and american consumers, or at least U.S. consumers, don't like the removal of the headphone jack.
Switched to it from note 5, battery life is awesome but not having headphone jack sucks, struggle is real, and they should have included earphones.

I've just gone from Samsung S7 to the 6T and I'm really happy . I paid £560 for the 8gb ram version with 256 GB memory!! Awesome
Oh, smart move from me then. I ordered a 6T yesterday, also have a Galaxy S7, but it is a piece of shit now. You can't hear people when you have it near your ear so you have to use the speakers to hear what people say clearly. It has what it seems to me white stripes inside the glass, like the glue from the glass is starting to loose up or something. Haven't dropped my phone or anything that could make that. It is whole and I have used it for 2 years now. That is pretty weird I say. I mean no scratches, nothing on the phone, almost looks like new just a little dirty tho.
So I hope I did a good choice.
Loving my one plus 6! Everyone needs to know that with all of these badass cameras, the way you frame your pictures is more important than the camera themselves (I'm speaking about iPhone x, pixel, Galaxy and one plus, bc they are all really goodnight). Friends and family think my phone has a better camera, I don't, they are all the same (generally speaking).
If that said, I hope my one plus never dies bc I'll have to switch to a phone with a headphone jack, I haven't jumped on the Bluetooth headphones band wagon yet
It is not a rocket science to ask for a headphone jack.
The reason why they got rid of the headphone jack was to make the device thinner and have better features.

@@redphoenix2806 they come with a minimum of 128 GB which is enough for almost every user. If not you can get 256 GB. If you still need more, I assume you do for photos in which case you can upload to google photos to clear up space. It is water resistant, look up a water test. They don't get an official rating to save price as it is incredibly expensive to get an official rating.

I got this phone a few days ago on the day it came out and it's great, I don't see any issues with the notch, I think it looks fine, better than every other notch on a smartphone i've seen. I will admit that when I heard about the lack of a headphone jack it put me off at first but I then realised that I only ever use bluetooth headphones so it doesn't bother me at all. I was personally a huge fan of the fingerprint sensors on the back of the phone but also really like the hidden fingerprint sensor on the 6t, however, I bought a tempered glass screen protector for it and it does kinda fuck with the sensor, it takes a while to read the fingerprint and i'd say 8-9 times out of 10 it won't even unlock the phone, so I now use the face unlock, apart from that though, its perfect.
I am not interested on these but interested on our presentation. In perfect view. Good

Fun fact, the reason Apple removed the headphone jack from the iPhone 7 and up was because they were trying to encourage people to use wireless headphones. Funny timing, because Apple had bought out the company Beats, which makes wireless headphone. Beats also happens to be one of the most popular headphones, so anytime you buy beats with your iPhone, Apple is getting more money out of it. Smart move, I suppose.
Excatly right everything is done for more money. Not sure why most phones are going wireless as its only really apple gaining from that as many people will turn to beats wireless. Maybe bluetooth chips are less expensive then actual audio jack i dunno

I don't understand why people switch phones so much, I've had my OnePlus X shortly after it came out and have stuck with it, only now is it starting to show it's age and now will probably get this phone for Christmas. Why are people so wasteful? I feel like people have gone from keeping phones for years to months, there is ZERO reason to upgrade unless you absolutely need to, but everyone mentality I feel is 'OHHHH LOOK AT THE NEW SHINY NEW THING GIMMY GIMMY'.

No, they can shove it. That is not a positive. The audiojack is tiny, and costs next to nothing. If they can't find a way to fit it in a phone this size, like everybody else has been doing for 15yrs, then they're shit engineers. It should be there purely out of convenience.

So legit question: Is there any real reason to get the 6t over the 6? I personally would like a notification led and a headphone jack for when my bluetooth earbuds dies.
Depends I guess. What do you value more; notification led + headphone jack, or in display fingerprint scanner + streamlined notch? The 400 mAh increase is not really a game changer I think as you can easily make it through the day with 3300 mAh (my experience on OP 5T). But I don't see any real reason for really wanting a headphone jack, as even when you need to charge your phone and want to listen to music at the same time, by charging your phone for 15 minutes you'll have more than enough juice to start listening music again, which probably in your case is even less of a problem as you could charge your phone while your Bluetooth earbuds still work.

M416_OVERRATED -_ well, apple introduces a phone with a notch, now almost every other brand makes phones with a notch, apple deletes the headphone jack, now all the other brand remove the headphone jack. I’m not saying they are the first with everything but it seems like when apple does something other phone companys arent scared anymore to do the same.

This argument ... again out of all the friends I asked if they use headphones while charging their phone ... only one person said yes, and even that got negated because he in 80% cases uses wireless charging. And @nycbk23 while phone screens are bigger than ever, nothing beats the 24'' PC monitor, that's the more enjoyable way of watching movies and youtube videos (and I use headphones all the time, so it won't wake up anyone at night)
Edit: And to be clear I'm not saying there shouldn't be a 3.5mm jack, it's good to have options, but this argument is dumb to me.

Headphone jack is really old technology... Bluetooth is taking over, and u can just leave your choice headphone with the adapter attached.. it's really not a big deal
I dont think bluetooth will ever take over.... maybe when there are actually good bluetooth earbuds... As a bluetooth enthusiast & audiophile I know there is no good bluetooth earbud on the market still.
Name one bluetooth 5 earbud with Ldac + Aptx support, at least 3 hours of battery life and type c support, and they need to have a solid chipset like the qualcomm 5000 series . Then theres the problem with stuffing powerful sound into these earbuds because they have to supply battery to the drivers, which companies will either go with a tiny dynamic driver to conserve battery or large drivers that consume more power but the right sound profiles, you cant stuff as many BA drivers in them to compensate either because you have to save room for circuitry. Then you also have to talk about software & smart features like gesture controls and smart commands.
There's so much tech that needs to be baked into a bluetooth earbud that we are like years away from making a good + cheap one. Its very difficult to have a well balanced bluetooth earbud. Bluetooth is never going to achieve the same quality as a wired connection which is why i will be hunting for type-c headphones or mmcx to type c wires to pair with mmcx iems & earbuds

@Chokwe The notch is ugly as sin, and the headphone jack is still absolutely necessary. Besides, the adapter means you can't charge your phone or move files to your computer while wearing it. Literally less features and less convenient than their previous phones.

And why would I buy a phone with no jack, just to also buy an accessory that gives me the same functionality that a different, less expensive phone already has built in? someone needs to make a phone case with a 3.5 mm jack integrated along with being able to charge.
You don't need case for that there is special dongle that allows you to connect 3.5mm headphones and charger to type c at the same time. And it is super cheap, only couple of $ on AliExpress.
It would get really bulky and be a big chin which I'm guessing would defeat the purpose of buying a large bezel-less display phone

The Kirin 980 has great multicore but the single core in the 845 beats it and when the 855 comes out with a jump from 10nm to 7nm. It'll probably crush it. I'll admit the Kirin will probably be better in battery

Literally the only electronic manufacturers that is getting rid of the headphone jack are smartphone manufacturers. The jack is definitely not dead. Computers will still have one for a long time because frankly, Bluetooth audio is shit and is not ready.

That is true, but then again the size of this type of devices makes it harder to keep compared to a laptop or tablet when there is a need for space to increase battery size, screen to body ratio or to incorporate new features that need hardware.
