I'm a Liberian watching from Ghana. I think if some of those historical places that was being destroyed during the war can be renovated by the government it would have been better, like the one built by former president Samuel Doe in Zwedru, Grand Geddeh County.

Private land ownership right (foreign idea) brought to Liberia by free black American slaves and indigenous communal land ownership right coexist and run side by side in Liberia. So this property is a private property and is governed by such law. If the family do not sell it, develop it, lease it, or donate it, no one else nor the government can do anything about this ruined building and all the similar ones for Tubman, Doe, Taylor, Kroma featured on the channel
My father worked Tolbert under. Even the day of the Coup Etat, he was shot on his jaws. My father used to have big scar on his jaws and through his neck.

Also considering the look and appearance of people that you include in the recording. For the sake of easy publicity and marketing reasons, make sure that you all are very well attired before being recorded. Why not turn this building, or is actual residence at Bentol, into a Tolbert Presidential Library, where all his papers are kept and studied, under the control of Government or University of Liberia. Don’t let these building go to ruin. The same for the Tubman and Doe residences.
It just shows how disorganized this country is, the State or the current government can still renovate the building and use it as a tourist attraction, hence making money out of it, for the benefit of the community around the same area, but an African is an African 20 to 35 years down the line, still waiting for a white man to come and tell them what to do with the building.
