For therapy to succeafully work, you must be honnest. My psychologist and psychiatrist (and all medical professionals) are the only people i hide NOTHING from. Ive told them every dark bit about me, so they can help me get better.

The whole plot of them dating was so dumb because it feels very out of character for Paula. They always portray her as very competent and then she goes ahead and does one of the most unethical things a therapist can do and for what? That plot didn't even really go anywhere, it was just filler until Harvey finally got with Donna
It isn't unethical for a therapist to date a client if they haven't been a patient for a year
