Forget Lego villains, he makes countless villains period look like idiots. People like Darth Sidious would look like braindead morons compared to Teridax.
Very much so, he planned out every event and detail for something that would take thousands of years to accomplish and actually succeed. He effectively became a God. However I have to say that his last big decision to chase after the one being that could pose a threat to him when that being was pretty much stuck on a desolate wasteland of a planet with no way off was pretty dumb.
Makuta:Come…join my brothers and me….. Go my sons use the shadows and keep my brother asleep…. Sleep spares him pain awake he suffers!! Some of my favourite Makuta lines
"Sometimes, my brothers, the best way, the only way to win... is by losing." Might be one of the most legit quotes from Teridax that meets with real life. You can keep losing and losing but eventually you might just win big time and that's a theme I can get behind.
Teridax is possibly the most intelligent and clever villain I have seen in a long time. Like, this guy was cunning and manipulative and planned so much of his shit through, even planning for every possible set-back!
My favorite Makuta quote outside the movie trilogy: "The matoran on this island are builders. But look into their hearts, and you will see they also have the power to destroy. I am that power. I am destruction. And I will destroy you!"
"Your talents are still of some use to me, and so I will not kill you...today. But one day- perhaps a year, or 1000 years or 100,000 years- I may grow tired of you Icarax. You may cease to be amusing, with your posturing and your boasting and your lust for battle. And one day, your armor will be a meal for metal-eating scavengers and your essence a wisp in the wind~Teridax to Icarax
All of Makuta's monologues to himself in Mask of Light blow everything else out of the water, with the exception of "sleep spares him pain. Awake, he suffers!"
Honestly, Makuta will always have a special place in my memory and heart as the bewt villian ever. The only other villian I can think of that in my own personal opinion comes just slightly closer to him is Belos from the Owl House. Other than him no other villian had me as engage as Makuta Teridax, and even then Belos is close but not quite there. Just his prescense alone had an impact, his role in thw story as the ever present mastermind and the fact he ACTUALLY WON. He just had and still have that villanous spark, he has class, intellegent and phisically menacing, the fact that every defeat he suffer was only a MINOR SETBACK for his master plan. And his killer voice in the trilogy and theme. He is just THE villian.
Good list, but I would swap the introduction of the first 3 Rahkshi with the second. By rewatching the scenes, I realize that the first wave is all about physical destruction: Poison, Fragmentation ("broken"), Disintegration ("shatter"). However, their usage in the monologue is intended more as metaphorical than literal. The second wave introduces Anger, Hunger and Fear, which are behavioral and psychological destruction. But it's easier to read how each of those conditions would break their Virtues between each other. Then again, you have the lines starting it off as if it's Makuta's duty to keep Makuta asleep. But if the "sleep spares him pain" line was included, this shouldn't be as much a problem.
Makuta Teridax is one of the most best villains ever of Bionicle franchise along with Roodaka, Vezon, Piraka Zaktan, Barraki Pridak, Kalmah and Takadox, and Tuma.
I did recently check but something happened. I think Patreon either cancelled my account or put it on stasis until I receive more patrons. Which is honestly fine by me until I really get things done like SALVATION. Last time I checked, I noticed your pledge and I greatly appreciate it dude. But for right now, I wouldn't be pledging, it might not even be going to me and I can't condone that. I'll let you know when I officially get my account there back on track.

Isn't Makuta Teridax the kind of villain that makes most lego original theme villains look like idiots? I love that.

Not only that, Teridax could learn from his mistakes to make his actual plan work long term.

with all his talk about shadows, i think Teridax and Madara Uchira would be great friends

To be honest i feel alot of Makuta Teridaxs quotes through out the entire Bionicle series are super memorable.
