I have nostalgia for the genesis version, and the Saturn game I want to get soon. Just a look at the PC port and it makes me wish I could tie myself behind Sonic as he drags me down that Windows ‘95 background to my inevitable death.
Something nobody comments on with the PC port is just how fast it feels. Sure, it could be seen as simple and easy, but it captures the speed of Sonic the best.
Pc was lame because it is capable of getting Saturn quality or better but devs put lame content Genesis had very limited hardware specs because it’s old console and the devs literally had to spend a lot of time and effort in doing this
@@boiii3productions945 Not all PCs at the time were capable of 3D rendered graphics like that. The PC version uses 2D in order to be better optimized for general PCs.
they couldn't get the code so they had to re-do them, also it was targeted at the Windows 95 PCs of the time that typically had 2D graphics cards so they would've looked very blocky and with a low framerate running in CPU/software rendering mode anyway.

Probably? It's definitely the best of the entire series. Perhaps close to Sonic Mania's only.

Saturn has best Chaos Emeralds better than Genesis because it's just Squared shaped Chaos emeralds, so my choice is Saturn

Sega Saturn wins because it does have knuckles. Wonder if there is a mod to play as knuckles in this game, even if just the special stage
