Only imagine comp cautions would have avoided what happened in the race at that time and clearly not to see that type in the duels with the mid number fields as of lately and other big fields in the Xfinity Series races in the past and other superspeedway races in the future. Like next year. Hopefully 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
I was 22 years old there with my ex watching this race at a tiki bar on the infield lake. About to hit 39 next month, 3 gfs later and married for 9 years with a 6 year old. Oof.
Is this at the same time a Fox/FX series called _Blondie_ starring Ashley Tisdale and Brenda Song (also famous for Disney's _The Suite Life of Zack and Cody_ then) would've ended?
Does when you can hold it wide open while others cant, these engines bog down so bad and it's hard to get those extra mph when you lose them unless you have someone shoving you like crazy, but if you can't corner well you'll wreck going too fast, I sim race alot and oval racing it's not always about being stupid fast, the way the shocks are have a huge factor on how good the car pitches in the corner and how the bumps and transitions from banking even if you gain 1 mph more over time that ads up when others can't with as "even" the engines are
If I recall correctly only 4th gear, and the rear end gear were regulated, but the others weren’t. The DEI guys knew how to maximize restart pace with how they geared 2nd and 3rd. I’m not saying they WEREN’T up to stuff, but I do know there was legal explanations.
I can’t get over how far Jr pulled away during this race that was absolutely incredible!!
Usually when a car gets that far out in the lead at Daytona or Talladega the rest of the pack would easily catch up
"I get paid pretty good to stick it out!" Man, I love Dale Jr! A racer's racer!
Only, back then apparently he didn't get paid so well by the witch?
Finish Line interview before they did it as Practice from 2020 onwards.
at least yours has audio.. thanks youtube

Final nascar race on FX
Also the last race on the Fox networks until the 2015 Speedweeks.
@@TheRacingGenius88 yes you're right espn began airing all of busch series races in 2007 right before nationwide series in 2008
Only one race would not air on the ESPN networks during their tenure. 2011 or 2012 at Richmond in the Spring. The race was on SPEED
Wow... this was back when Nascar was great.
@@TheRacingGenius88one Nationwide race aired on Speed in 2011.
41:00 classic phantom debris caution lol
Broke the transmission celebrating
Jr. had to blow up his transmission before the tear down. 😂
There's no way in hell his gearing was legal. Glad he won though.
When you put a NASCAR game on easy mode
"*Handling*"
Yah, handling on the straightaway! Handling doesnt help you pull 11 car lengths every restart lol

Yeley could have been a series champion if Joe Gibbs didn't drop him after this season.
Just a few months later, doesn't he nearly kill Mark Martin at Charlotte?
That might've had something to do with it

Maybe a busch series champion. Gibbs shouldn’t have brought him up to cup when he did. Definitely needed another year in Busch series.
Do you have the 2004 race?
That race is out there already on another channel..... all good too.
