it looks great rn ! sanded off the black paint and gave it a whole new look. i have it posted for 350 for sale just to see if it has any buyers and quite a few people want it.. i also shaved the neck down so it way slimmer.
@@junksmith_wizard what I meant was I bought a pango custom jazzmaster kit, they use the same or similar knock off parts, I finished mine and had the same problem. A terrible feel and the trem stuck... I watched your video and pulled the trem off. Sure enough grind marks in the front of the cavity.. filed sanded and fixed. This video was the best starting point for diagnosing knock off Jag- and jazzmaster trem issues...
I have a few vids where i play it. I ended up sanding off the black paint and shaving the neck etc and then i sold. Is for around 260$ its ended up playing and sounding really nice but im more of a LP or superstrat type player
@@kiddnite4632 ok so im gonna try and explain in text 😹... The tremolo is stuck because the plate that holds the spring, strings and trembar hits the wood on the guitarbody, when the strings are tight. What you need to do is either take off a piece of the plate or take off a part of the wood in hole where the tremolo unit sits. It will be on the upper side of the pocket or the edge of the plate What i suggest is you use a file or sand paper and start removing alittle on the wall thats towards your neck ANOTHER GREAT WAY TO FIND OUT WHAT TO REMOVE SEE IF YOU CAN SEE SOME SCRATCH MARKS OR SOMETHING THAT LOOKS LIKE IT WAS RUBBING AGAINST IT SORRY CAPS😹 Dont be scared of removing some .mm of wood just dont go all the way to the screws 😹 Also dont do to much at once Is my case i removed just on one side of the pocket on the wall facing the neck/pickups. Sorry if its still unclear 😅
Great starting point
