I am so happy he is feeling better, and looking good! Since Chris's appendix has been removed he is likely to catch more colds/flus, as an appendix is to help your immune system function as it produces lymphoid cells. I’m 22 and in January I got an uti I took over the counter pills and felt better 3 days later I was so sick couldn’t move and went to urgent care where they told me a had a common cold and sent me home 3 more days later I’m in the hospital diagnosed with sepsis scariest moment of my life

Previous OR nurse here! Each spot on his belly had a rod in it. They inflate the abdomen with gas to be able to see and move around. They essentially cut off the appendix and pull it out through on of those holes and then the procedure is over. 😂 so happy chris is feeling better ♥️
@@trishroscoe8273 yeah it’s technically a gas, it’s so they can see and actually manipulate inside the abdomen. And then at the end you just turn it off and all the air exits through the poke hole ports

Don't mask it by giving them meds and sending them off to school. Keep them at home, and be a freaking parent and keep your ass home from work and watch them. If you can't take off, find a family member or friend willing to watch them knowing they're sick. Don't send them to school and infect everyone else's kids and the teachers/staff.
Idk about y’all but I’m from Texas and they make attendance a BIG DEAL if there’s no fever they want them there. Sometimes it’s not always the parents.. I’d love to keep my babies home w me especially if they’re not feeling good but truancy court is real and they do it after like 5 absences 🥵
Caveat to asking a family, friend, or SOMEONE to watch your sick child. It's hard enough to find care these days for kids, it'll be especially harder to find someone to watch your sick child. The root cause of parents sending sick children to school is because of the hardworking mentality. parents feel like they can't leave work as easily without feeling the repercussions from work for taking care of the home front.

Until you keep your kid home for every flu/fever like I did because you want to be mindful of others and not get more kids sick the way your child got the flu from school anyway… and then school proceeds to send letter.. after letter home almost like a threat because your child is missing to much school. I just had my baby yesterday! It’s been so nice going through pregnancy with Lizzie as she has the same reactions to being pregnant as I have through our whole pregnancies. It’s been nice to know that I’m not alone in feeling horrible during pregnancy. But now that my little Ivy is finally here, all the last 10 months has been so worth all the aches and pains. My birthing story is super gnarly! I wound up having a c section and the epidural wore off while they were cutting the peritoneum and stretching my bladder out of the way and I felt EVERYTHING. They wound up knocking me out and I woke up to them injecting my belly with pain meds after the baby was out and I was stitched back up. I literally asked the anesthesiologist and nurse if I was still alive after I woke up. And now I am writing this from my hospital bed watching my gorgeous daughter sleep and watching your podcast ❤ I appreciate you both keeping my brain busy through this journey and for Lizzie for being so real about how much being pregnant actually sucks lol
Last week my coworker kept coughing and sneezing, saying it was just allergies. Then her son tested positive for covid. Then she tested positive, and still kept coming to work because HR told her she could as long as she didnt have a fever. So i get Ryland’s frustration because i feel the same way! Stay home if you’re sick!!!

They go in blow up your belly with air, snatch up your little appendix, burn it off, suck it into a little pouch and pull it out, throw it in a cup and send it away 😂
Ryland! I’m right there with you about sick people in yoga class! Last week I was in the same situation in a packed hot yoga class. There was a sick woman next to me and on the other side a woman with heinous breath. I had nowhere to turn and nearly had a panic attack by the end. Stress plus 105f heat and 100% humidity really messed with my head.
Chris hope you feel better! So happy to see you back, I’ve just had surgery and you guys have honestly been a god send! I’ve never had lice but my mum always put tea tree oil in our conditioner and didn’t wash our hair everyday. They like clean hair, they can’t grip to oily hair! I did the same with my daughter and she’s never had them!

So glad Chris is okay! My appendix basically blew up. It got infected some how, developed a tumor, filled up with black toxic puss, and I was septic. The way my appendix blew up, was a death sentence. If it wasn't removed when it was, chances are I'd have health issues today.

Lizzy i loved your comments about sobriety. I've been clean for 5 yrs and life is so much better than it was when i was high. But mentally i still struggle some days. Then i have to remind myself how nice it is not to wake up everyday so sick i feel like every bone in my body is being twisted. Today's been a struggle for me, I'm my husbands caregiver and i loved the distraction of both yalls videos today. ❤❤
i wish so hard i could be sober… my husband committed suicide in 2022 and it seems like i can’t handle it with two children… im definitely not neglecting my children and they are safe. i just hope i can feel the emotional freedom you talk about. i’ve been doing better.. this podcast helps so so much. i get back to a time before he passed and it brings me peace. i’m hoping that soon i can comment and say i’ve been sober for x amount of days. just know- lizze you talking about it makes it seem more tangible for us who are struggling. so much love to you guys, thank you for being there when ive felt so alone in a dark space. thank you, thank you. ❤️

The yoga/medicine ball helped me go into labor! My water broke at home after a long bath & night of my bouncing and circling exercises!! I’m so glad Chris is back and doing well, he handles health issues sooooo much better than I would’ve lmao. I’m a wreck with health issues. I’m so excited for the baby announcement I look everyday 🙃

The public sickness REALLY gets me because so many people are like that and some people (like children or elderly) have a hard time to fight sickness along people with medical issues like myself. I have 0 immune system and people don't take other people's health into account. Im with you !
Lizzy I cried! That touched my heart. I am Sober eight and a half years. It is the one of the hardest things I have endured. I am happy and feel slot better. Now that you are going to have a baby, He will be more important to you than any drug or alcohol that you have done. May you hold that baby and always treat him better than you have treated yourself. keep over powering your addiction and when you get old and grey headed you will be able to look back and say" The woman That I have become Is powerful,triumphant, and beautiful. And you keep loving her and keep treating yourself with more respect than you have ever treated yourself because your child will see you in the light that shines on you now. And the darkness is behind you. Knowing the darkness could still take your light. Always be two steps in front of yourself so the darkness can't overtake you.
My dad helped set up trapped!! It's actually filmed inside first ontario(a concert venue in Hamilton Ontario) and my dad has worked there for over 15 years. Well earlier this year they closed down and are doing extensive renovations. Trapped to me is a homage to my childhood(not the actual plot obviously) but the halls and it's beauty. I'll never see it quite like that again, every disney on ice, every bulldogs hockey game. I hate horror movies, but this one. Damn.

I was right there with you almost ten years ago Lizze! I was induced with my son at 42 weeks in the evening on september 8th and he was born at 10:58pm on September 10th. Way too close to 9/11 for my comfort!
The appendix is thought to be a partly vestigial organ, which earlier in human evolution had a different form. Currently it stores and regulates various types of useful gut bacteria and lymphocytes (cells involved in immune system).
It wasn't the flavour of the ice cream that the boys didn't like. It was the shock of the coldness of the ice cream. That's why they liked it after... it melted in their mouths and they could taste it :)

My appendix basically blew up. It got infected some how, developed a tumor, filled up with black toxic puss, and I was septic. The way my appendix blew up, was a death sentence. If it wasn't removed when it was, chances are I'd have health issues today.
I am so happy that Chris is back! 🫶🏽 And Lizze, I hope that your labor and delivery goes well and that you give birth to a happy and healthy baby boy before next week’s podcast. 💞

Lizzy i loved your comments about sobriety. I've been clean for 5 yrs and life is so much better than it was when i was high. But mentally i still struggle some days. Then i have to remind myself how nice it is not to wake up everyday so sick i feel like every bone in my body is being twisted. Today's been a struggle for me, I'm my husbands caregiver and i loved the distraction of both yalls videos today. ❤❤
i wish so hard i could be sober… my husband committed suicide in 2022 and it seems like i can’t handle it with two children… im definitely not neglecting my children and they are safe. i just hope i can feel the emotional freedom you talk about. i’ve been doing better.. this podcast helps so so much. i get back to a time before he passed and it brings me peace. i’m hoping that soon i can comment and say i’ve been sober for x amount of days. just know- lizze you talking about it makes it seem more tangible for us who are struggling. so much love to you guys, thank you for being there when ive felt so alone in a dark space. thank you, thank you. ❤️
I hope your next chapter in life will bring you through to the other side towards happiness and accomplishment to do it for those that love and need you. You are stronger than you think. Your kids will always need their mom. It is a horrible feeling that I am physically sick and my adult child is fearful of the last day for a very long time. I can't control my outcome but you can yours. Positive energy for you!

The yoga/medicine ball helped me go into labor! My water broke at home after a long bath & night of my bouncing and circling exercises!! I’m so glad Chris is back and doing well, he handles health issues sooooo much better than I would’ve lmao. I’m a wreck with health issues. I’m so excited for the baby announcement I look everyday 🙃
You guys have to try the Cajun corn in ranch!!! That’s the best thing on the menu 😭😂

The public sickness REALLY gets me because so many people are like that and some people (like children or elderly) have a hard time to fight sickness along people with medical issues like myself. I have 0 immune system and people don't take other people's health into account. Im with you !

Lizzy I cried! That touched my heart. I am Sober eight and a half years. It is the one of the hardest things I have endured. I am happy and feel slot better. Now that you are going to have a baby, He will be more important to you than any drug or alcohol that you have done. May you hold that baby and always treat him better than you have treated yourself. keep over powering your addiction and when you get old and grey headed you will be able to look back and say" The woman That I have become Is powerful,triumphant, and beautiful. And you keep loving her and keep treating yourself with more respect than you have ever treated yourself because your child will see you in the light that shines on you now. And the darkness is behind you. Knowing the darkness could still take your light. Always be two steps in front of yourself so the darkness can't overtake you.
My dad helped set up trapped!! It's actually filmed inside first ontario(a concert venue in Hamilton Ontario) and my dad has worked there for over 15 years. Well earlier this year they closed down and are doing extensive renovations. Trapped to me is a homage to my childhood(not the actual plot obviously) but the halls and it's beauty. I'll never see it quite like that again, every disney on ice, every bulldogs hockey game. I hate horror movies, but this one. Damn.
That is sooo cool!!!! I went to watch that movie as soon as it came out and though the later half of the movie was disappointing, it’s in my top movies to come out in 2024

I was 41 weeks and went out for Korean BBQ was in labor by the time I got home! I went into labor on 9/11 and had him on 9/12/23
I was right there with you almost ten years ago Lizze! I was induced with my son at 42 weeks in the evening on september 8th and he was born at 10:58pm on September 10th. Way too close to 9/11 for my comfort!

An appendix is an ‘accessory organ’✨
Hawaiin is my absolute fave... and I was STRESSING when I thought you werent going to guess it right.
The appendix is thought to be a partly vestigial organ, which earlier in human evolution had a different form. Currently it stores and regulates various types of useful gut bacteria and lymphocytes (cells involved in immune system).
It wasn't the flavour of the ice cream that the boys didn't like. It was the shock of the coldness of the ice cream. That's why they liked it after... it melted in their mouths and they could taste it :)

I am super happy that Chris is getting better. I wish him well on his health. Also when lizzie mentioned about kids being able to come to school with lice I’ve experienced as staff we would have alerts like every 3 or 5 it seemed like about lice. I find that to be so crazy because when I was in school I would have been sent home.
