Our 2025 XLE AWD is at 1100 miles, just had its first oil change, and is on the third tank fill. The mpg calculated out to 48.6 mpg in Normal mode yesterday. Once broken in, by 2000 miles, I'll be trying ECO and seeing if I can get even better. However, compared with the Ford Escape Hybrid, the Toyota doesn't allow for much driver intervention to improve mpg like the Escape. So, we can just drive and get great mileage. Awesomely comfy, quiet and smooth ride. The brake feel is the best I've ever used.
So there is a break in period? I was not made aware of that from the dealership, but every other new vehicle I've owned had an engine break in period with an oil change. Where do I find that information?
@@jeffreybergin5052 dealers don't do it and I'm not aware that Toyota includes that anywhere. Technically, you don't need an engine break-in oil change if you're going to trade in your car within 100k/powertrain warranty. However, if you want the next owner, or yourself, to get to 200k or 300k, then you must do the break-in oil changes. There's a lot of metal particles generated until around 2000 to 3500 miles. At 1100, you can see the silvery sludge suspended in the oil and heavier pieces in the bottom of the collection pan! As with any engine. The first 1000 miles is critical for bedding in the rings for low oil consumption. Drive conservatively, minimize prolonged constant rpm engine speeds (like highway driving) with occasional accels to load the pistons and rings. 55mph country road driving is ideal. I did oil changes at 1k, 2k, 3.5k and 5000. 5000 miles is now my standard oil change interval. th-cam.com/video/cg6rnYU7wI8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Ov7QxRlC-kwl-84U
I just bought this exact car and there are so many thing I need to learn about it, so far it it a very nice car. I have been driving a blue 2005 Avalon XLS for 20 years and I'm excited about this new Camry. My wife was like but you had a blue Avalon don't you want a different color and I said, it is different it's non metallic Blue. I love the LED headlights !
I used to complain about MPG on my Camry. But what I discovered is the MPG get better the more miles you put on them. I'm on my 5th Camry. 2005 2012 2019 2020 and 2025 and I kid you not other than the 2019 which I only kept for 1 year every Camry I've had MPG increased at or around 70K miles. It's weird but they get better MPG the more miles you put on them.
Local dealer wants more money for these than the Lexus dealer next door selling ES300h. Fully optioned out XLE over $42k US. Lease over $700/month. No thanks.
I really liked this vehicle until the front right wheel bearing failed at only 4,000 miles. It’s very disappointing that I paid this much for a new 2025 vehicle and then to have this happen. I hope I don’t deal with this for the life of the vehicle. My 2006 Honda Accord bearings are still going strong.
Great choice in vehicle. I’d go with the SE or XSE. I’d lean more towards the SE as long as it includes sunroof, heated seats, heated steering. If one of those three features is missing, I’d go with the XSE. If you’re buying in the US. Double check your desired features. Thanks for watching. Juliana
I got a 60.9 mpg city driving for groceries haul, 49.6 mpg on highway. I am happy with this. Look at the trip summary after you turn off the engine. Also, AWD has an electric rear motor that sits idle most of times. Not worth the rxtra $. I am content with my 2025 FWD XLE.
The 60.9 mpg groceries haul, does that include cold start and warming up time? Asking because I have the previous (2022) Camry hybrid, and after a cold start (even with 62-64°F outside) it takes a while till fuel economy starts showing the awesome numbers.
The XLE doesn't have the panoramic moonroof by default which is great as it is a potential source of water failure, you give up the sunglass holder, lower headroom additional cost, more noise. OH and unless clean your car every week the moonroof looks hideous when dirty. Other than that I'd highly recommend the moonroof for an additional $1300 if you have more money than common sense. Unfortunately it is required to get the ventilated seats and the mediocre jbl spl speaker "upgrade".
Agree. For all trims, we can always upgrade car audio, improve seats after the purchase, but a moon roof is impossible. So if one feels the need, just add it😂
Why do cars have grey interiors? It's repulsive. They should be black or black and white or black and cream. Otherwise, at least make it dark grey. Pale grey just looks cheap and wishy-washy.
toyota salesmen have to very busy selling these left and right. love how spacious the inside and how simplistic and clean everything is including the infotaiment system. so Hyundai wireless charge pads are a slot where you drop your phone in it. which is nice.

I just bought one today and I love it

Yeah, the actual break-in period is about 170k miles. Most people don't know that. Once fully broken in, the mpg is stable, hopefully above 30mpg.
Bro in my camry its showing 780 km after full tank, why its so low? As on my friend's 2023 camry after full tank shows 1200km range.
Toyota dealerships in the USA do a good job of making the brand undesirable. Plus, their quality these days isn't what it used to be.
And don’t know how to do a clean oil change at minimum
seems they'll even give a total bimbo a car to review

@@nathanielross8232Shoot my pathfinder platinum I pay 650 a month and that’s my lease payments
My experience at Toyota dealership was great.
As usual, Juliana, you've produced another excellent Review! This car's price point is very tempting!!! Good job Toyota!!!
A car that ticks so many boxes. Likely the only affordable sedan with buying !
Beauty indeed 😍🔥🔥🔥
Good job🎉
The new model is amazing, the drive is incredible

Nice review. What tires does it come equipped with, brand and model? Thank you in advance.
Hello Juliana.I love this Toyota Camry. All the best!👍👍👍
Sun roof is not standard on XLE I'm afraid 4:40
Canada, yes. 🙂
I don’t see fog lights at the front. Is it not offered to keep the cost down?
I want red but can't choose between SE or XSE or maybe even XLE ? What would be your choice/suggestion?

Not in canada all standard on xle and xse
@@robertduklus6555 That's very interesting! I did not know that. Still I would pay extra NOT to have the moonroof.

BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL WOMAN ATTRACTIVE ❤❤❤❤😮😮😮❤❤❤❤
Light bright interior looks big on video
That wide angle view really distorts the true dimensions of the car. 😮
Maybe it's just me, but the brakes are so spongy that I feel like I'm going to rear end everybody.
Show top 🔝👍
Hi good video not bad the cloth inside gets dirty the bit on the passage side going down too centre console looks dumb the Honda Accord more refine
My xle has leather. Also the Camry is the only one that still has a spare tire!
I considered this car. Wanted xle. No delivery date cant get color i want. Dealers get what they get from toyota canada. Bought es 300h instead
This girl could be a model. Maybe she is. Was there are a car in this vid?
YUP!! 🤗
I don't think getting 36 miles to a gallon driving hard is terrible in any car. One this size makes it remarkable gas mileage. Just what I think.
Why do cars have grey interiors? It's repulsive. They should be black or black and white or black and cream. Otherwise, at least make it dark grey. Pale grey just looks cheap and wishy-washy.
Yeah it screams Rental Car
Combined with that blue is truly terrible. I would say it looks better in person. It doesn't.
That quilted fabric on the dash isn’t going to look good in a few months. Especially that gray color.
