Yay, another vlog already! I'm so happy you started doing vlogs, it's hard to find minimalists fashion vloggers, most that I stumble across shop a lot so they're not all that relatable 🤷♀️ Plus, I just find you super adorable and cute 😍😘
You were spot on about everything except Toner. I have been in the beauty business for over 30 years and toner is really only a necessity for oily skin.
Thing to remember with hylaronic acid is that if you live in a very dry climate - the acid draws in moisture- if there is no moisture in the atmosphere the acid will draw the moisture from the lower layers of your skin making it dryer. So if you live in a dry environment you need to top the hyralonic acid with an emoliant moisturizer to prevent moisture loss. I live in the UK so it's generally quite humid. I use Elf holy hydration unscented moisturizer and it's great. I like the idea of 'clean' products but many natural products I am allergic to, so it's about balance for me. I don't use sulphates and I don't use fluoride. I have to be very careful with essential oil ratios.
Hey Emily, a simple and natural make up routine is definitely the best way to go. For me it's a cleanser, toner and a combined moisture & sunscreen, then light mineral makeup on top, brows and lippy. Takes me less than 10mins to get ready in the morning. I also recently incorporated the H acid to my day and night time routine for that bounce, just what my skin needs. Loving your vlogs already. Have a lovely weekend xx
I find that I have to finish out a product even if it’s not quite right because I put good money out on them. It’s a journey to find a really good skin care. Finding ‘clean’ on a budget is difficult too. For now I am finishing out an expensive range I bought on sale. It’s been a bit disappointing as there is no bounce and my skin feels flat and dry. You are so inspirational and I agree, 3 to 5 is definitely on the minimalist side. Thank you for this vlog it’s very encouraging. Will continue on my skin care journey. Ps. I really love your natural makeup look.
In the morning, I use a vitamin c serum, a hyrolaunic (sp?) moisturizer, supergoop sunscreen, and Nars tinted moisturizer. I’m 55 and have very dry skin!
I think you did a great job on your skincare & makeup. The final result was stunning, minimal chic. Hyaluronic acid seems to work best if your skin is very slightly damp and if you could find one that has Squalane with it, it could give you an extra hydration boost. As I’ve gotten older(48) I’ve learned little tips & tricks to help products work even better on my skin, so why not pass that knowledge along to help out our fellow world. I’m loving the vlogs.💗 Thanks for sharing.💕👍🏼💗
Impressed that your cool robe still fits. Maybe you're feeling dry because of Minnesota weather. I live in Texas and when I visit Minnesota I feel all dried out.
If you apply your creams in a light downward motion you won’t clog your pores. Your skin cells are formed like a cone. I learned that from “Joan Rivers” years ago. I agree with a minimal skincare routine. I’m 59 years old and don’t have wrinkles. I had bad acne as a teenager and have always keep my skin very clean and used sunscreen.
I love the Glow Recipe Pore Tight toner is brilliant, but my absolute favourite is Haru Haru black rice hyaluronic toner. It's amazing on wet skin. Have you tried the Glow Recipe niacinamide dew drops? I love it and find it means I can pretty much just get away with concealer (base wise).
I love what you are doing! In the AM the only thing I believe you are missing that is important is Vitamin C ,before your sunscreen, I believe Glow Recipe has that answer its important, it also brightens, not gllowy, but important none the less. I use a very high % of C, but you don't need to!
Hi Emily! Have you thought about adding a vitamin C serum, right after the toner. I really like the 20% one from Timeless, It’s light weight and I’ve used it for years! 🥰🌈🦋🌺🌺🌺
Hello...if you haven't yet, maybe see a skin care specialist. As you age (I am 47 and loving it), your hormones change. You are also pregnant. We all like to think we know what we are doing but it is their job to know. I feel my skin is decent (I don't even have wrinkles yet 😊), but I know I lack hydration because I do not drink enough fluids. You also want to make sure you are applying your skincare in the correct order. Thanks for the video and you look beautiful. 🥰
A great follow re all things skin, would be Caroline Hirons, a UK 'skin expert' with a wicked, irreverent sense of humour plus super knowledgeable❗️look at all those subs already, 👍 Emily.

Loving the natural beauty look, it so suits you especially with your youthful skin, if only I can turn time back from my 50's to 30's again.

Thank you. I live in Denver (very dry) and I am 66. Dealing with dry skin for many years, but it has got worse with age. 😘

Thank you 😊
Nice finished look! In addition to adding Vitamin C, retinol in your night time regime is a good one too. You look great! x
oh no retinol!!its not allowed during pregnancy!
I always like your make up. You used to use ilia spf serum foundation but now kosas. I was wondering why you changed?

I have used vitamin c serums in the past. Haven't really had much luck with them though. May be using the wrong ones though

How about... High-Low Ron-Nick. 💚💚
Stay bouncy girl!
Haha love it! Great suggestion!
Emiley ....what do you use for your brow ...it is always so well done ....Please Help 🥰
I use the Anastasia Brow Pen and draw in little hairs vs. just coloring in. Gives a more natural look.
Thank you 🤗💕
have u tried the ordinary-it works & cheap plus clean😉 xx v
I haven't, but will try! Thanks Veronica!!

this is a vlog, something you know effort and art was put into and not just for the sake of uploading a video every day.
