This is the first I'm seeing this live and the energy flowing through Sam is exactly how I would be reacting had I been the one on stage. I certainly didn't expect the casual dress attire, but I am totally on board with it. So glad I checked this video out.
Emotions are just pouring out of him. when i first saw his routine on the video Seasons Change i thought what a Comedy Show. i watched it a few times plus this one and realize its all Emotions. So Good Job Buddy.

This band needs a guy that can actually sing with words you can understand instead of the one word out of 10 you can make out thought the ridiculous growls. Watch the sheep cheer too😂😂😂😂
OK - let's begin... This artist utterly defies aesthetics as he is terrible performer in his chosen genre - I assume some sort of retro-pop crap, and the genre he chose, retro-pop crap sucks as well. Combine these elements with vocals that sound like a cross between Chewbacca receiving a rectal exam and the Tasmanian devil on a bath salt rampage, you have a truly disturbing performance. I once heard a story about a poor woman that was attacked in New York while everyone watched from their windows, unwilling to come to her aid. This is the feeling medical students attending Future Islands performances must feel as they see Sam helplessly writhing around on stage, experiencing what appears to be a grand mal seizure, with observers feet away refusing to come to his aid. I wish Future Islands all the best in pretending to be a slightly less atonal version of the Smiths. Good luck ripping off 80's wave music.
You clearly don't know what you are talking about. Future Islands is the best band EVER!!! Tell me any other band that can play bland music while violently convulsing on stage.Nobody has moves like Sam... especially when he had to wear his work clothes from selling shoes just before playing the show.
Now I can boogie, and can normally pick things up very quickly and then put my own swerve on things, (I love to dance 🕺 a lot)…😊 but for some reason I cannot get on how Sam does his thing. And do you know what, I’m sort of glad, it deserves to stay all his. With no cheap imitations.. Go on Sam, you groovy Mo’fo.😂🥳👌… Ps, he must have Tour de France 🇫🇷 legs inside them kex…😂😂😂😂.WoWzA in a trouser…. I like it a lot.!.
He is PART of the story. He wants you to feel it too. You cannot look away.. I love how he's so animated.
