"Conquering the tongue is better than fasting on bread and water..." I think nowdays we must be careful about our typing and texts, ALSO- being an extension of our tongues. Just wanted to share my thoughts on this, as I've been thinking of it lately. Thank you and Godbless
I am so attracted to Carmelite spirituality but find an obstacle in the cultural (Spanish vs Chinese) bias of St John of the Cross. God willing, I proceed with His grace and Fr Edward's discourse. Slowly and in silence!
I was talking to someone about my experiences, he said that sounds like John of the cross. I had never heard of him before. The way that I experienced it was ascension from 3d world into 4d. 4d world was the world of illusion you could not return to 3d reality because it did not exist. The more you tried to recreate it, the more you would face further illusion. It was painful, heartbreaking. It would break me. But you can be broken to be reborn again. In 3d world is attachment in 5d where you are going to, is detachment. You let go of everything. You realise that the more you own, the more owns you. This includes everything including people you loved. What comes the other side is self love. The ability to trust yourself. You are more than enough. There is peace the other side. No fear. You have no need for the material world.
This is tough to understand. And its all about Saint John. But we are not Christians because of St. John. There are no biblical passages. It will be nice if we could combine St. John then bible passages- namely alternately one poem by St. John and one from the bible. Of course one is proud of the sayings of the co-founder but one must include bible verses too.
Prots are all about Scripture (kan centered, misinterpretation of it), and even Scripture only, nonsense (Sola Scripture). Catholics DO give prededence to Jesus Christ, LIVING WORD, nu way of tradition, deposit of faith, etc.
Wonderdul talk!! St. John of the Cross, ora pro nobis!!

....20:11 "the Word" St. John of The Cross speaks of there is Christ, not Sacred Scripture.
Protestant influence is what causes that kind of mistake!
