The fact that your reviews are more a stream of consciousness than a manicured well scripted show adds a level of realism thats refreshing. This is what TH-cam was supposed to be about but these days half the channels want to mimic TV as best they can which in my opinion defeats the point of TH-cam. Keep on being you and we'll keep watching... sure ya won't pull in the masses but you'll continue to develop a devoted community of like minded people and thats better in every way other than monetarily unfortunately lol.
He is the first review channel I watched and I believe the only one I'm subscribed to. He keeps it 100% real and doesn't worry about subscriber counts. I'll be q fan of the channel as long as TH-cam continues. Plus he seems like a stand up dude outside of TH-cam.
My list would also have Sputnik, 12 Hour Shift, Anything for Jackson, What Lies Below and most definitely the kills from Becky and the 3rd act of Amulet. You put a lot of work in this channel and you deserve everything, which will come true sooner or later. Have a great 2021!

Missed a few of these although I caught “Alone” last night. It’s funny because as soon as I saw the Magnet logo (company that produced it), I said this should be good as they also produced “I Saw The Devil”. A lot of the ominous shots of the Jeep reminded me of the yellow bus slowly approaching women from ISTD. Highly recommend to anyone on here. Thanks for another great year end, Jason! 👌🏻

Very cool. I havent seen most of these, but I definitely enjoyed Underwater, Possessor and The Empty Man (though I was fairly scathing about The Empty Man when I saw it at first). Possessor was a tough one to love for me (I found it a little depressing), but on a list of 25, they would definitely be on there. As for what people complain about? People are always gonna find something, man - there are people who just want to hate everything, which just takes so much fucking energy. Love your lists, both of them, and I'm glad I found the channel. :o)

I just I just came across your site. I want to thank you for doing something like this. Me and my best friend and my sister are all big horror fans. It's become even though I'm a huge movie buff in general, the genre I definitely watched the most. I was glad to see that you had Alone, Host and others that I really loved. I will say I totally disagree with you on the length of Host being an issue because 50 minutes to my mind, quite often, it's just about right for really good horror ideas. I've seen many a horror film that ran 90 minutes where it was 45 minutes too long. Anyway other than that I do have to say me and my friend had the exact same number one horror film of 2020 which is rare, and as you went down your list and you hadn't mentioned it yet I kept thinking oh my gosh it's going to be his number one too. And oh boy was I disappointed when it wasn't on your list. I know these are subjective but the fact that it wasn't even your top 25 was shocking and that's Anything for Jackson. In my mind, and though I didn't see quite as many as you did this year, it was nothing short of a masterpiece. anyway I was glad to hear you talk about the invitation which is a masterpiece as well and I also found the open house to be highly underrated. In fact you're only one of two other people I know that actually like that film that I like I did. Thanks again
Thanks for responding. Btw did u ever see the found footage film Home Movie?. Man that movie fucked me up. There was one thing the director didn't do in that film which I thought would have made it an All Timer. But that movie has some of the most shocking images I've ever seen in a horror film. Rent A Pal sounds awesome. I absolutely loved Unhinged. The opening scene in that had to be one of the most creepiest things I've seen in a long time in television and film. Yes, absolutely. Almost every list has at least 1 "that's more thriller than horror" comment. I think we can include them all if there's violence, bloodletting, a sense of dread etc. Horror is the most sensitive genre, paradoxically, when it comes to its viewers.
Silence of The Lambs is a great example. People think no way a horror movie could sweep the Oscars but you tell me what genre a killer like Buffalo Bill falls under. 🤷🏻♂️
I didn't see a lot of these movies but I intend to, but I did see VFW, The Lodge, and Monstrum which I loved all because of you and your recommendations. Thank you for this year. though it sucked it was awesome. I loved the story about Lucas, I laughed my ass off, sometimes we really do lol, I thought your insight into The Mandalorian was amazing. The Empty Man surprised the HELL out of me. Got under my skin and stayed there. Absolutely one of the best new horror movies in a long time, should be seen by a larger audience! Horror fans complain all the time about not getting good horror anymore and they totally ignored this fantastic movie.

I’m doing a YT channel where I review horrors but unless there big productions like ‘Conjuring etc...’ I don’t hear about them; like Rent-a-pal I found out through you but would never know about them otherwise?
The Empty Man is one of the best horror movies ever made. It has some stuff like the name of the school is " jacques derrida high school" which kind of makes the whole meaning of the film supposed by the author totally different than 99% of viewers think. There's a good review on this specific side of the movie on yt but it's not in eng.

VFW is so great. I saw it at the end of last year. Totally awesome. I have written your list and gonna try to catch on... Allow me to recommend an old movie called Sorcerer (William Friedkin 1977)
My daughter is 9 and she gets scared of horror movies,, which I've been on a kick of pretty much only watching horror lately, so I put on Hubie Halloween. I have loved Adam Sandler, since the 90s with Happy Gilmore, Big Daddy, Wedding Singer, Billy Madison (had some annoying parts though), and he had some bombs in there too. I also appreciated some of his more serious ones like Spanglish, and then the rest I couldn't watch. I like some of his newer ones like Just go with it, he was funny and sweet in that one, but my point is he is hit or miss, but because he's Adam Sandler and he has been around so long, I guess I just love his movies, and love his characters. I thought Hubie fit in the was so bad it was kinda good category. I respect him for always using his go to friends/actors like Steve Buscemi and the lady from Modern Family who was in Happy Gilmore and no matter how bad the movie is they still will be in it.

I only saw 4 horror movies this year in 2020 The Invisible Man, Deep Blue Sea 3, The Babysitter Killer Queen & Brahms: The Boy II that is the order I liked those movies The Invisible Man was my favorite horror movie of 2020 and it also was my favorite movie of the year and yep Brahms: The Boy 2 was my least favorite horror movie too and my least favorite movie of the year also

Saint Maud was really good but it didn't top hereditary or suspiria 2018 for me
I only saw 4 horror movies this year in 2020 The Invisible Man, Deep Blue Sea 3, The Babysitter Killer Queen & Brahms: The Boy II that is the order I liked those movies The Invisible Man was my favorite horror movie of 2020 and it also was my favorite movie of the year and yep Brahms: The Boy 2 was my least favorite horror movie too and my least favorite movie of the year also

I loved the premise and first 2 acts of vivarium but the third act started to bore me and the ending del really flat for me
