    Even though the Atreyu Crochet channel is for beginners, I think it's necessary to build upon the basics. The great thing about crocheting is that even the most complicated of patterns can still be broken down to the very basics of crocheting.
    Don't ever approach a crochet pattern with doubt. Simply break down the pattern and approach it one stitch at a time. If a stitch is foreign to you, then find a TH-cam tutorial on it, learn the stitch, and resume with the pattern. Although our starting point is that of a beginner, it is also true that that is not our destination.

      You can alter tutorials the I have on the channel by adjusting the initial circle size. In other words, make fewer increase rounds. Only make the diameter of the initial circle big enough fit the crown of the head, then cease with the increase rounds and only maintain that final number of stitches. I’ll add this to video list.

      Ok,Thanks ,I'm just really getting back into crocheting, also do you have to do the cross over,I think that's what you called it!!

    • @AtreyuCrochet
      @AtreyuCrochet  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you want to make the pattern I made in the video, yes. Otherwise, no.

    Can you give me stitch count for women version. I love the way the brim is and just do not need top so big. Thank you

    • @AtreyuCrochet
      @AtreyuCrochet  ปีที่แล้ว

      The stitch count isn't my gauge. You should measure the diameter of the crown and once your circle reaches that diameter, cease with the increase rows which will allow the hat to start curling. I hope that helps!

    Any way of stopping the open gap look at the end of the rounds ?

    • @AtreyuCrochet
      @AtreyuCrochet  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have to go back and look at what you’re referring to. My first thought is to slip st into the next stitch but I need to see it first to be sure.

    Can I ask what size please

    • @AtreyuCrochet
      @AtreyuCrochet  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You determine size by establishing the initial circle and comparing it with the crown of the head of the person you're making it for. The hat in this video is probably considered large.

    To complete the round why do you slip stitch into the second stitch and not the third stitch of the beginning 3 chains?

    • @AtreyuCrochet
      @AtreyuCrochet  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like the look of it better. Sometimes I use the top chain though. It’s just personal preference.

      It will also help keep each row looking straight. When going in the round, the line where you finish your row has a tendency to start going at an angle.

    Please, what is a Tam and what is the difference between a tam and a cap or beanie. For sure, I honestly don't know those differences.

      There's more space for the hair with a tam.
