One thing that made me happy this week was when an older gentleman in the grocery store saw that I only had a few items and he offered to let me go in front of him in line. I said “That’s okay, I don’t mind waiting. Thank you!” But I could tell it was important to him. He said someone had done it for him and he wanted to pass it on so I agreed and thanked him again and he was so delighted which in turn made he delighted. A small interaction that left a big impression on my heart. Love you and your videos, Lexi! 💜
One thing that made me happy this week is we rescued two puppies. I've been teaching them 'Sit'. 😆🌞

One thing that made my week was my husband taking me book shopping in the rain. I live in CA and we have gotten a decent amount of rain this year, but it always feels special because it’s rare. ☀️

This week I watched my two sons play in the sprinkler for the first time this year. We always have the best time doing thay ☀️

One thing that made me happy this week was getting to see all my theatre friends for our theatre club one last time all together before most of us would leave. Sadly, the club has become toxic to the point so many people have been bullied but i am grateful they all came together one last time for our showcase. ☀️☀️☀️🌻
One thing that made me happy this weekend was the beautiful weather. The sun was out and it was about 80 . I opened up the windows in the house and did spring cleaning while listening to The 7 husbands of Evelyn Hugo. 😊🌞

I have to contribute two happy things from my week so far. 1. The snow finally melted completely where I live in Canada! Yay! 2. On Sunday, my six year old son performed the song "Baba Yetu" with his choir at a concert. It was so adorable and beautiful! The song is the Lord's Prayer in Swahili and it was written for the video game Civilization IV! So random but I recommend looking it up!
PS: I haven't read a short story collection in YEARS but I just picked up The Dangers of Smoking in Bed at my library and I cannot wait to read it!

One thing that made me happy this week was being able to have my mom over and chatting with her for hours before me and my husband took her out to eat for her birthday. She loved the flowers and the squishmallows I got her for her and her little chihuahua who loves the keychain squishmallows for her chew toys (they're the perfect size for her tiny mouth after you remove the keychain attached). It was a lovely day and left me feeling so refreshed. I've missed my mom. ❤️

I love reorganizing my books. I don’t have shelves as I don’t have space for them yet, but I do have a box dedicated for my small set of books. Also I finally got my hands on Bookshops and Bonedust and what luck I found it in a library sale brand new for 25 cents. So darn happy about it

One thing that made me happy last week (it's too early this week to have much) was attending an event at our local Children's Zoo and getting to wander and take photos (one of my favorite hobbies). It was a beautiful night and the even was super fun. 🌞🌄

I've been on SUCH an "unhappy ending" kick lately, with all of the horror and thriller books I've been reading these past months (Just finished Bloom by Delilah S. Dawson, and currently reading Between Two Fires by Christopher Buehlman) and I'm CRAVING unease. This one has been on my radar for a few weeks now, so I'm going to have to pick it up soon.
You reading slump moment was very good advice, actually, and I totally agree. I'd recently burned myself out on fantasy and fluff, so going the complete opposite was just the shot in the arm that I needed.

I just changed up my genre and bought my first fantasy ever..i chose Fourth Wing and I simply adored it!! Now im.reading Iron Flame..i never was into fantasy before but Fourth Wing for me was that good.

Loved the vlog! Also I am also making my way through the Cosmere and I recommend watching the most recent reading order recommendation video from Brandon Sanderson’s TH-cam channel. I think you will want to wait to read Yumi until you have read several other books according to him :) if you haven’t finished the Mistborn trilogy yet, I highly recommend doing so though- so amazing!
