I'm using this web app for student check-in & check-outs in the front office at the school I work for. It works great, ONLY issue I'm having is getting multiple form entries because students are clicking the check-in/check-out button many times before the form fields clear. I was able to get the form to send a copy of the response to the email address that is inputted into the email address field. I am new to using Web Apps and my next concern is the security of the information that is being inputted into these fields, as I do not want to compromise the individual’s email address.

If i may ask: how to go about creating a webapp that works as an Training/Attendance Management System? What i mean is, after the trainer enters correct employee & verification code, I need him to select the date, time & topic of the training. And the webApp should display the list of participants mapped to the trainer with adjacent 2 columns of radio buttons as: 'Present' 'Absent' against each particpant name. This should be submited to a spreadsheet on success. Is there a way to do this in GAS?

I followed all the steps and it seems to be working well on the PC that I created it on but when I go to use it on another device (mobile tablet or phone), we keep getting the error code when trying to clock in or out with an employee id and verification code (in my case pin). Super, looks much better! The button and error message works fine but is difficult to type text or numbers. If I try to type something it zooms out so big that you can not see the form or box! Thanks

Not sure what I did wrong, I followed along step by step yet the app is not fully working. When I enter anything into the app it simply goes back like at the beginning where it looked like it sent the data into oblivion. I have checked, double checked, and triple checked and I have everything identical to you. The only things that are different is that we use a username instead of employee id but the rest is basically identical. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Don't know if the issue is the fact that instead of an id number we are using a user name since that is really the only thing that is different.

Still having issues but now it is in a different spot. Now the issue is when it is running the check for last action..... I was really hoping to be able to switch over from the google forms to the web app but for the moment it seems I will not be able to do that. I don't know if it is because it doesn't like the check for clock in and clock out versus an employee name instead of ID or what the issue is other than it just keeps triggering the error message.

Everything is case sensitive, so make sure you match. So for example getElementById is not the same as getElementByid

Did you check both under console in the browser and Executions in apps script editor for errors?

It shouldn't have anything to with names so long as names are unique.
