same with empire here. The city wealth bug, the lack of replenishment in sea or the fact that there are not buildings that improve your units like in later tw games is what makes me not going back and craving for an empire 2
@@GOGPlays well, since i know unhappiness is a thing in empire, i just play as spain, turtle in madrid, going republic and make everything a university to research everything faster whime investing in trade routes and ships. After researching everything, i switch to constitutional monarchy for those sweet royal units. Now that i remembering that game, the economic systen seems pretty unbalanced tbh.
bug with ordering them to attack. Either only click the attack button once or let them shoot on their own. Same thing with other ranged units, they do their attacking animation but don't fire projectiles at all if you order them to attack another unit.
I swear every game before fall of the samurai has something with gunpowder units
Light infantry units in Empire Total War were better though. They don't act like an autistic line infantry.
The arty ai in fots can be extremely annoying

I find that something using the halt command might snap them out of this. And actually causes them to go ahead and fire.

As much as i love this game and played it a lot, i am unable to go back because of constant bugs and AI being dumb

Keeping occupied regions happy is quite hard in Empire Total War. I think it should have had occupation options like Rome and Medieval 2 had.

Gunpower is cool. But archers are better.
So are they just not firing or what? Is this universal to gunpowder units?

If you don't have, install medieval 2, custom campaign, this mod is super tiny and useful, it already has export descr units

It's why I just use crossbows.
They don't perform well in every positioning angle. I prefer archers over them.
