Just cut your finished seam to 1/4” and then do tiny slits all around to just a couple threads from the stitched line. A round pillow turns really easily that way and stays round. If you are using a round on a drum or something like that just gather it and then fiddle with the edges to eliminate any puckers. It helps to not turn back a lot of fabric. Love your current projects and the ones you are looking at doing.
Thanks for showing your previous finishes…still need to order some of those…your kitted and plans…have a great time next week…your save the stitches is a stamped pattern and I have one project not quite finished from 1970…purchased in Williamsburg, VA…the blue stamped cross is suppose to come out with a wash in Dawn Liquid Dish Soap and the floss in my kit is DMC…I don’t know what year fancy floss came out so you might take it with you to the Tin Smith Wife and get their opinion…wishing you joy in your travels and happy stitching Liz ❤️❤️

Wendy even sent me pic of the fabrics she would suggest and she put the floss next to the fabrics so I could pick. Loved your video, I’ve been thinking about a couple of fall projects. To finish your Creepin Round, cut two round mats, gather then lace a star to get the points down. Then you can ladder stitch together for a hanging ornament with trim or add several batting circles, ladder stitch loosely then cover with 1/4” twill ribbon with a knot and hanger for a pin disk. I think Threadwork Primitives and Stacy Nash both have finishing instructions for pin disks. If you need some mats cut, just let me know the size and I’ll send you some.
I have feast of friendship all kitted up as well. Hoping to start it soon. And maybe you could do a mattress style round pillow similar to the Christmas morning one you did. 🤷♀️ I’m sure you’ll come up with something perfect.

A long time ago when I stitched I would date my things using a 1,2 etc for the months then 2 digits for the year so that may have been stitched in January of 1995?? Such a sweet stitch! Love all your videos! Have fun on your trip❤️
Love your strawberry finish! I finished a round stitch on a three wick candle lid, inspired by nine one one stitcher on flosstube. I can send pics if you want. It would work great in a dough bowl. Have a great trip. Can’t wait to see what you buy 😃
We call those "adopted" needlework that we get from yard sales, thrift stores, etc. I can hardly fathom getting rid of stitched pieces I stitch or receive as a gift but people do it so these beauties need a good home!
I am actually blessed to have my grandmothers dough bowl, we are talking well over 100+ years old😳😍. Have had many a good biscuit made in that dough bowl. You could also check antique shops and primitive shops for the bowls, be prepared cause I bet they are pricy🤪. Love your stitching and the quilts are amazing😍

Yeah! Party like it’s 2019!!😂 We have been playing a lot of board games and card games. Try Kings in the Corner. It is lots of fun and goes quickly. The baby quilt is adorable. Your pillows are so cute. That plaid fabric is my favorite. I have been working on Halloween once a week, hoping to get it finished for this year.🤞
One over one does work easier for me when the fabric is under tension. Working in hand seems to allow the floss to slide underneath the ground threads.

You look amazing today…so i am bravely attempting whimsy Halloween by Teresa Kogut….its slow going (newbie still) but its so much fun to stitch. Here is an idea when your at the needleworks store, video your shopping trip. I started stitching in the last year and have only ordered online, so i have actually never seen inside a cross stitch store. Our quilting stores don’t carry any cross stitch….the closest one is in Calgary which is about 4.5 hours away and i don’t think she is open to the public yet…..i am actually anxiously waiting to get to one in person…..have a great family vacation…..and thanks for todays uplifting video….
I forgot to add my two cents regarding over one stitching. I think regular floss on 36 is a little hard in general, but on PTP I would think it’s harder because the fabric seems tighter. Tudor Silk from Gloriana is good for over 1 on 36 ct and higher. I used A Ver Au Soie 100/3 for the over one on Heritage Sampler. That was better than the regular floss because it seemed slightly thinner. Definitely stitching over 1 on 32 ct is easier, and definitely use a hoop or frame to clearly pull the holes apart. I think Carol Saltbox Stitcher says she normally uses a hoop for the over one bits on the higher count. Hope this helps!!
Does Tudor silk come in the same colors as Gloriana? That would be handy for over 1 stitching for sure! And yes I need to break out my hoop next time, I definitely think it helps for over 1!

The cookies WIP is so darling! And congrats on the newly bought sampler! I’m bummed-I was at the Tinsmith’s Wife this weekend and missed you by a week. 😕 But, yes, Wendy is a sweetie! It’s the most helpful shop I have ever been to. Plan on spending s couple of hours-they have everything and if you can’t find something-she’ll help you substitute or order and mail it to you if possible. Enjoy!!

You look amazing today…so i am bravely attempting whimsy Halloween by Teresa Kogut….its slow going (newbie still) but its so much fun to stitch. Here is an idea when your at the needleworks store, video your shopping trip. I started stitching in the last year and have only ordered online, so i have actually never seen inside a cross stitch store. Our quilting stores don’t carry any cross stitch….the closest one is in Calgary which is about 4.5 hours away and i don’t think she is open to the public yet…..i am actually anxiously waiting to get to one in person…..have a great family vacation…..and thanks for todays uplifting video….

I forgot to add my two cents regarding over one stitching. I think regular floss on 36 is a little hard in general, but on PTP I would think it’s harder because the fabric seems tighter. Tudor Silk from Gloriana is good for over 1 on 36 ct and higher. I used A Ver Au Soie 100/3 for the over one on Heritage Sampler. That was better than the regular floss because it seemed slightly thinner. Definitely stitching over 1 on 32 ct is easier, and definitely use a hoop or frame to clearly pull the holes apart. I think Carol Saltbox Stitcher says she normally uses a hoop for the over one bits on the higher count. Hope this helps!!
Does Tudor silk come in the same colors as Gloriana? That would be handy for over 1 stitching for sure! And yes I need to break out my hoop next time, I definitely think it helps for over 1!

If that was found at a antique shop the writing on the back may be the inventory number instead of the stitcher info 🥰
