Momma Bear Carries Three Cubs Across Lake On Her Back

A momma bear swam heroically across the Chippewa Flowage in Couderay, Wisconsin, as three cubs hitched a lift across the water on her back.
Footage of the event was captured by Nelda Powers, who was vacationing in the area.
“We were on a two-week fishing trip with friends,” Powers told Storyful. “It was during one of these boat trips that we came upon this incredible scene.”

I am stunned at what these people did. Not only by how close they got (no idea how much they are zoomed in) but more so by how they cut in front of her. Are you kidding me?! Did it never occur to them they might scare the bear or the cubs and they might fall off or try to swim away (which one did)? Leave them alone and stay away for crying out loud. Neat to see but the human behavior as usual is irresponsible.

I absolutely thought why the hell did they take the boat so CLOSE to her. No doubt it caused the mama stress. She was in a precarious situation for sure. Babies on back, and being completely vulnerable. 😠
