Something I noticed while playing around with the combo: if you special summon link apple (or replace it with snake eyes birch and special summon that) right before you link off into sunlight wolf, you can use link apple/birch for ash's effect instead of the sanctuary. Then in the opponent's turn, you can activate kirin, destroying decode after you used its draw, which then lets you special garunix back from gy. Now you have kirin+garunix+sanctuary w/ potential board wipe like you do in the normal combo, plus the two cards from decode. This seemed a lot better b/c otherwise in the end board you showed there's fairly limited disruption, and the only diff being you no longer have link apple in hand.
Yeah, the example with link apple was to show as the summon isn't gurenteed however Birch would be a better option as you can gurentee the summon and then proceed as you mentioned.
Just used this build against my buddy on edopro. He uses a branded fusion deck and this build stomped him 10 times in a row. Grabbing all of these cards next week to try it at locals.
I like the idea of sending opponents monsters to the spell/trap zone as a form of disruption. I threw in a Sinful Spoils of Subversion-Snake Eye. Then I can get Flameberg on the field, I can summon that monter to my side of the field. Depending what it is, I can either use it as a cudgel in battle of Link, XYZ, it etc.
@WretchedPlebe think it may be to slow as you need to go out of your way to get it and then leave it on the board for next turn, you'd be better off going for circle of the fire kings cause you can then do all the same combos and then when kirin destroys flameberge during opps turn you use circle to revive berge and you then have it live
So an interesting pick instead of the link apple in order to make sure that the sanctuary stays in board for mor board pressance and interuption would be to play roland( thebmain deck infernoble guy) he can equip to any monster and you can than send ash and him to get the plays going
You can play both, The main point if dogmatika is ti get you to ponix, in this version your using the si ful engine to do the same and get you a couple of draws. However if you combine the 2 it just gives you a bit more resilience against HTs as if the sinful gets stopped you just switch to nadir, quick like how branded switch to it if fusion gets ashed
How would you compare this to the tribrigade version? Does one have any significant advantage over the other or are they both pretty similar in power level?
Really good question, I was thinking to play with the tri brigade engine, but I think this is better, it seems to be more consistent. It would be nice to have some insight about which option is better.
Tribrigade is good, it just takes up a decent chunk of the main deck, and dosent leave you with much space for HTs. Personally the end board from tri is better and a bit more resilient but it takes the majority of your resource everytime. I'd say tri is more all out, Here's my board break it and win, don't and lose. This one is more resource management and control

@@blackbeard62 2 situations 1: A FIRE monster is destroyed, so you can special Ponix from hand 2: If you're in late game, Ponix might be in your GY, so this line makes so you can bring back that Ponix with Flamberge eff when its sent from Field or GY
