No, I will not buy a 2025 RAV4. I would not want a Hybrid and prefer All-Gas. I also prefer simplicity in a car just like the good old days, I don't need all this electronic junk that would only break more easily and require more maintenance.
The reality is that the hybrid is a simpler and more reliable system than the all gas. No alternator, no starter motor, no AC belts etc. After 20 years of refinement it is one of the most reliable and robust systems available
I worked on the assembly line at the Honda plant in Alabama for 16 years. A model change is always the biggest nightmare! You have to train on the new model while keeping up production with the current model. We once had so many cars waiting on repair that we ran out of places to park them. At least Honda test drives every car they make where as Ford only test drives 1 of every 50 vehicles made.
With the new Rav4 coming, the "old" version can be negotiated to a very decent price. I just did that and scored $6000 below sticker price. From what I see on paper, the 25' version doesn't bring enough for me to wait and pay more. Plus new generations of any vehicle is something I avoid.
This is a dilemma I am facing: 2024 or wait for 2025. The problem with 2025 is reflecting on the 2019 which had so many faults it was a disgrace for Toyota and it took 2 years to fix them. Does that mean waiting till 2027 to buy a 2025? That's 3 years away.
Went for gas 2024. Didn't want new model year...too iffy. it's mostly perfect :-) gets 39 highway. I got what I wanted color and model... made in Japan... I am on west coast.
I purchased a new 2017 RAV4 XLE 4 wheel drive with several options and standard added safety features for $24,500. As the price of the RAV4 approaches or exceeds $40,000 and interest rates on auto loans well over recent lows, how many new RAV4 will they sell? In 2017 the RAV4 had a price increase over $2,000 due to added safety features becoming standard. That knocked it off the #1 slot to the cheaper Rogue.

I will most likely order my 2024 Toyota Rav4 this week (Sep '24). The reason, i don't want a new model. Usually, the first three years are dangerous years for buying a new generation. The first few years represent simple problems that will be corrected in future years. Later years, 3-4 bring out the long mileage problems, i.e. transmission/engine issues that can be addressed for long term reliability. The 2024 came out in 2019 and now gets perfect reviews/reliability from Consumer Reports. Also, I don't want a Hybrid. I work on my own vehicles and can't work on Hybrids. That means it would be expensive to repair in its older days. I usually keep a car for a least 15 years.
They won't. Toyotas engines are the best cause of decades of advantages they've had over their rivals. Toyota holds all the important IPs for best quality car engine, so competitors have literally no way to gain an advantage over Toyota when it comes to power train. But in everything else Toyota sucks. Hyundai's and Kia's blow Toyota's out of water when it comes to the quality of material used in car's interior, infotainment and other gimmicky stuffs.
And I hope they do. I REALLY don't want that 8 speed automatic. The eCVT is super durable, efficient, and even simpler than a manual transmission (which would also be a good choice)
We don't want the Toyota Rav 4 to look like a crossover as there is already that Toyota corolla cross which is already a compact crossover. We want a bigger Rav 4
I feel like the heated seat is just on its prime temperature. during summer i also turn on the ventilation and it gets cold too fast and i feel like I peed on my pants lol
I hate all the possible redesigns that were in this video. They lowered the clearance and made it look like a venza or Lexus. If mimics the cruiser or 4runner im more for it.
The mileage of my 2009 Lexus RX350 is about 200k km. It will last at least another 5 years. So I will wait until then. I will probably get a Corolla Cross or RAV4.
Toyota should offer the old one in 3 models and drop their price points to appeal to 20-35 year olds. If the sketch shown is Toyota RAV4 2025 I’m in. I’m hoping they add more torque and power in their vehicle. If they can get model that has 190kw and 550nm of torque it would be a diesel killer!
I REALLY like the rendition that they show in silver/grey. Although I wouldn't want them to slope the back of the roof and decrease cargo capacity. The design they show in green I find totally ugly.
Also remove the silver plastic edges from inside cars make it blood moon red ,seats as well, and most importantly, headlights turning with stearing well.. when head lights on at night
I keep reading this. I ordered in late November, had took delivery to my speculations February 22. I was informed along the way of what was going on. My car began the build December 9. Was at the shipyard January 1. Arrived in Jersey around February 6. I felt 3 months was a fair turnaround to get exactly what I wanted. I also insisted the extras come factory installed because I refused to pay to install them at the dealership. That’s what they wanted to do. The factory installed everything.

The 2004 to 2012 Ravs had nore cargo space behind the second row seats than after 2013. That already keeps me from putting it high on my to buy list. I put 256K miles on my 2006. It wasn't perfect but it was a reliable car. But at this rate it'll design its way off my list.
I have a 2007 with a powerful V6 and 225k miles. Lots of storage, lightweight with 276 hp. New ones keep getting smaller for cargo and space. I am liking that they are trying to get some decent horsepower back in these cars so i can by a new one. I hope they don’t make it like a crossover hatchback type small cat
