I’ve been looking EVERYWHERE for someone who did custom back buttons with this same exact mod, not the awful looking back remap paddles! You rock buddy thank you so much!
Thanks, "exactly the same but slightly different" 😂lol. I drill the holes so the buttons dont wobble about caused stress to the micro switch. I make sure the button cap is taking most of the load. I also correct a small design flaw in the trigger flex.
@@UberMicroRepairs might make a video myself of the rapid fire mod I do for xbox one controllers. Works on all controllers apart from the elite series 2
Thank you for the feedback, chuft it was easy to watch I was worried it is too long and just waffle (the button placment is i know that..lol) For Xbox yes I can do the digital triggers and rear buttons but they are static non -remappable.
It's been a couple years since this pro mod to a controller and with the increasing rate of cost for consumers to be forced to pay $300+ for a decent branded pro controller. Could you do a run with the newer styled boards and mods . Also the list of items you used in this video I can't find .
Mate awesome video. I am having my ps5 controller make small repeated beeping noise when I turn it on and only one of my added back buttons is working. The rest of the buttons do not work and I believe the issue is grounding related. I have the grounding wire running just like you do but only the switch button that connects to the end of the grounding wire is working. For context- The grounding wire is connected to the mother board and running to all the back buttons I added. Any advice?
I've never came across a PS5 controller that makes a noise when turned on.. I've had Elite 2 controller sqeel in pain when liduid damaged. Only thing I can suggest is to remove the mod and see if the issue is there with the controller being totally stock?

Amazing job mate
Thanks a lot!
Great job mate. Easy video to watch and very entertaining. Will you only be doing PS controllers or will Xbox have an option 😉

What is that tool with the red cap that you used to punch holes before the drilling?
By any chance do you remember the diameter of the inner cap? i think i ordered ones too small
BOOM! 3.4mm inner diameter of the cap.

how to costrate ds5 for some additionl buttons
Is that just enamel coated magnet wire? I've been using silicone wire lol
Yeah I've had issues with microphones latley. Working on it!
@UberMicroRepairs I'm going to try that wire. Been using silicone coated lately. But this wire seems to much easier to deal with
Where do I get those button covers? Im about to install one and id like those little bumpers lol
Aliexpress.
I have a question does the touchpad need to be solder or can you skip that?
The touchpad is optional.
