Now this wind is a lot like wind here...so much flat plain gently rolling hills but covered i n sage not the spice. Bushes that turn into humble weeds...when it blows it whistles..and tumble weeds roll aroud..high desert.5'500 to 6'000 ft.... We have 2 seasons here...Sunny and hot as heck..or freezing and blowing snow..or just darn cold..still listening to wind is nice.I think most cats sleep all day ours do.Thanks Phil..😀
The wind here in Scotland is also blowing a Hooley! The sound it makes sounds like old time radio sound effects! The canal looks more like a moving river instead of a still body of water! Keep yourself and the cats safe inside xo!
Was surprised to see a boat cruising in that wind!!!! Xx
Love that sound!😀
It would have been easier to do it as a livestream but the sound wouldn't have been very good.
That's quite the blow. Just a little test of your mooring, but it looks like you've done a good job of hunkering down! The racing clouds are great too.
The east coast of America is having Storm Kenan. Calling it a 'bombogenesis', or 'bomb cyclone', whatever the heck that is. Lots of snow!
That wind on the water must feel very cold.
Nice to see green grass! I just got over a Blizzard here on Long Island NY and got 25" and snow drifts up to 6 feet. I'm slowly shoving to get out!
We've not had very much snow
Nice contrast between the colors of the towpath, water and field.
Hi Phil, can't believe Cheeky Pig thought it was a good idea to travel on such a windy day! I guess we don't know if they had to be somewhere by a specific time. I think being tied up to some armco was a good plan :)
Too windy for moving, but here it was a headwind so did not affect steering much. A crosswind would have been very difficult.
At 1:45 - that train really turned around quick...lol There is an ancient legend I learned from the Goon Show. They say that when the wind blows over the Kenneth moors, if you put a nurgle in your ear and put that ear to the ground, you can hear the wind howling in the other ear...! Unfortunately I have never found out what a nurgle is, so I haven't been able to try it...lol
40 mph that's a light breeze ... helps clear the air ... :)
good vid
I bet the furry children are staying below deck curled up in the land of nod😼
They usually sleep all day anyway!
