Is the kernel bypass part a bit misleading? If I’m understanding correctly, Kafka leverages zero-copy rather than a full kernel bypass, so it leverages the OS to copy to the NIC buffer directly from the OS cache, instead of having the kernel write from the user space? Great video, but I thought I’d bring this up 😅

I was confused by the part where you explain how consumer lazily reports read offsets to ZK and how another consumer can easily receive the same messages again after rebalance.
