I have tried making pesto pasta using much higher quality jarred pestos than he uses. What I learnt is: You can't eat an entire jar of pesto with pasta. There's too much fat so your body is like NO MORE. The green pesto (basil with pine nuts chopped) is utterly vile. I threw half of it in the bin and felt depressed after having eaten it. The red pesto is just OK. Joe has no clue how to cook and is useless for viewers to learn how to cook from. I cannot eat any of his meals. They are missing GOOD flavours, quality ingredients and good cooking methods,

I'm in pretty much the same position as you when you started. I really struggle to gain weight no matter how much I eat. That being said, you're advice is 10x better than the other body-building channels on TH-cam because you actually know the struggle.
A piece of advice for skinny guys: try peanuts or peanut butter. It's equal in proten to chicken. 100g has around +/-600kcal and you can eat 100g very easily. Pretty much any nuts are high in calories and protein but peanuts can be also super cheap. Also hemp seeds. If you just add a little bit to every meal you will get much more protein and calories. Not even mentioning magnesium content in hemp seeds.
@@broggie123 for the sake of 1 meal a day you may aswell buy pre cooked chicken breast and microwaveable rice. Can get various flavours of each. That’d be like £1.50 for a high protein lunch with good carbs, ready in 2 minutes
I do my own meal prep on a Sunday. I just do enough for 2 meals a day for 5 days a week, then during the week I only have to make 3 meals a day like usual, but I can have the meals I've already made whenever I like.

BS. Mincing garlic, which obviously involves cutting the end you cant eat off and peeling them too, takes just as long as getting fast food if not longer, let alone making an entire meal. Unless you use like 1-2 cloves of garlic because you're white. Then there's wash up time too
@@JoeFazer Yes, all these companies are the same they need to start using more sustainable packaging, there are companies out there that can provide biodegradable card type food trays. Also Myprotein need to step up their game & start reducing the amount of plastic used for their tubs, bags, bars etc. The amount of plastic waste created in the fitness industry is horrific. I wish influencers would start to get onto this & help force change.

Found your clean-ish bulk method to work quite well for me. 3 meals a day starting with healthy granola. A Tesco meal deal at lunch and High protein ready meal in the evening.

My brother is like you, he has a similar body type, he finds it extremely hard to gain weight and has a really fast metabolism, i on the otherhand can gain weight pretty easily but i cant keep abbs for a very long time while my brother who could eat anything always has abbs. He finds it hard to eat as much as me especially since he started working, so im gonna show him your videos and hopefully it will help him, thanks :)

The calories was what I noticed with a lot of them. They over charge and it don’t have what you need. It’s great for staying lean and maybe growing 4 pounds of muscle a year.
i think the most efficient way to Bulk is to buy yourself a 100L to 200L Freezer, then make your own foodprep on the weekend for 2 or 3 hours and then freeze it, so it always stays fresh. with this strategie you can make like food prep for 1 or 2 weeks. super cheap, takes less of your time on working days and is healthy. what do you guys think? maybe Joe could also do a video on that.

There is no such thing as a hard gainer, just a undereating miscalculater. You think you're eating 3500 calories when you're actually eating far less. Weigh out all your food, and measure everything to a T and you will see you're just not eating enough. 2 cups of rice uncooked is an ungodly amount of food when cooked.
