Interview With Against The Current - 'Silent Stranger', Almost Quitting & A Hamster Ball Dance Party

Ahead of their sold out Nightmares and Daydreams headline show in Hamburg, Dan, Chrissy and Will of Against The Current joined me for what can only be described as a chaotic romantic first interview date / therapy session. We talk about the band's double life of tour vs the everyday, 'Silent Stranger', Dan Humphrey (there is a connection - I swear!), and a dramatic moment for the band at the end of 2019. Aside from talking about their learnings from the 'Past Lives' era, the band also let their creativity roam free as they brainstorm some (borderline insane) ideas for future ATC shows... and Italian snacks!

I love ATC and I love being a fan. I’ve been to the show in Cologne this november and last year in Stuttgart. I can 100% agree with Chrissy when it comes to the fans. It’s just a whole vibe, when everyone gathers in the venue or even just when everyone’s waiting outside I feel like I completely belong to the crowd, as if these people are all just like me. This band creates such a sense of belonging and familiarity through their authentic personalities and their interviews.
