For those wondering how to get this moveset like I was, apparently if you get a snapshot of a shadow pokemon that knows lock on and frustration (i.e. Registeel, porygon, etc.) you can randomly roll any move, including flying press which is normally exclusive to Pikachu Libre and Hawlucha. Some insane luck to have a hundo with this moveset
Thank you for the showcase Jonkus! As another comment stated, you need lock on+ return/frustration to randomly roll into this moveset. It took me 9 months of photographing a porygon every day back in 2021 to get my first one. After that, you can clone that smeargle every day and hopefully get a good IV. Optimally, you can trade one to your local(s) so that you can get more smeargles every day. This is my third hundo Smeargle with this moveset and all 3 were traded.

Typically yes, but if the Pokemon you snapshot has frustration or return as it's charge move, it will randomly select a different charge move for the smeargle to have, including flying press.
Everyone is now going to go on the hunt for the lock on flying press smeargle, but I guarantee it’s going to be banned the next time this cup comes around. I’m honestly surprised how many people were actually able to get this smeargle this season.
Umm it wasn't banned during Holiday Cup Little edition also. This is the second straight little cup this has been allowed in. Doubt it's gonna be banned
It looks like Icy Wind is also busted on Smeargle. PvPoke calcs say it only looses to Wailmer in evens and Annihilape in 2s for the Catch Cup meta. I have a Lunge Smeargle that I thought about using because it’s most consistent into Bronzor, but in the end I decided Technoblast would be more fun.
open little cup should be cycled with great, ultra, and master league. It should be the limited meta every single time with great league. or maybe its availible with great league and also a limited meta. Little catch cup with no pokemon banned is the most fun Ive ever had playing GBL.

Smeargle can only have one move but when you snapshot a move that it can't have it randomly rolls across all available moves while inheriting the fast move only. Once you get one smeargle with lock on+flying press, you can then switch to snapshotting that smeargle every day instead which speeds the process up significantly. Now it's just snapshotting for a hundo and if you gave a friend who is doing it also you guys can keep them to trade to reroll ivs.
Even if i was able to get this moveset on a perfect IV Smeargle, i honestly dont think i would have it in my to pour the resources needed to get it to level 50
Spent 250k stardust to get a team ready for catch cup I've been hard walled 15 games in a row won only 5 of them. The fact I don't get out much with my rheumatoid arthritis what am I meant to do?
I am running Anine (charm), Primeape, and Beedrill, I have only had two bad sets since it started. I have climbed+230 elo it is pretty solid for me. You should give it a try!
And this is why we haven't allowed Pokémon like Shuckle and Smeargle, LOL. Even if these Pokémon are available to build in terms of resources, esp. on the Shuckle side, it makes for criminally long battles when one of the major virtues of Little Cup is that the battles go fast.
Seriously, I just top left when I see one of these. This meta is dumb they should have banned bronz, shuckle, smeargle, and my new least favorite marill, I've had several battles timeout which should never happen in little cup. But especially mons like smeargle and others like it where have to jump through several hoops and then pray to the RNG Gods that you get something functional.

Not quite, actually. For it to solo a TGR leader it needs to face one whose first pokemon doesn't happen to overwhelm Smeargle with fast move pressure, and the overall lineup has to be weak to fighting enough to not time out before taking it all out

Xl Shuckle, Xl Smeargul, Xl Bronzor. Ahh yes, a balanced team
Also a funny combination is Incinerate + Scald for Smeargle
5 FP plus Lock On damage is enough to take down a Bronzor. Wild

The morning catch cup started I found a Techoblast Normal Smeargle and even at lv 30 cuz I was out of dust it was still going crazy.

Counter + body slam is also pretty insane on smeargle if you try to farm for ivs instead of the moveset

Don't waste dust on this cup in the future - especially as you can't get out much. I'm personally sitting this one out and waiting for next season

You have to get photobombed by a smear gel on a shadow Pokémon with frustration it is extremely rare if you get flying press
