He comes to our cricket matches, he is befriended by all of us lads.. Scott Baillie who is an ex-Olympic player plays with us and Andrea comes and supports us like we are Olympic.. Great man with a heart of gold.. Football, sport in general needs more Andrea's!!

Andreas is still supporting Sydney Olympic I spotted him at Belmore Sports Ground recently. He is also working hard. I spotted him during the week heading towards the City on Parramatta road Five Dock in 2014.

They were indeed the good old days, but sadly, the NSL ran its course. Once football became 'mainstream' in Aus, there was no way it could continue with the old ethnic clubs. If you're not Greek, you cannot identify with Sydney Olympic or Sth Melb. It's painful because we established football in Aus, then kinda got shafted when Aussies decided to jump on the bandwagon. But realistically, it would still be a fringe minority sport in Aus had the A-League not been created.

Why do people see the a-league as sell out!? Dont they realise that the a-league is doing more to develop football in australia than the nsl ever did. And whats wrong with supporting a team in the 2nd flight competition aswell as your local a-league team. Theres no promotion or relegatioin between the leagues so their not competeing against eachother.
